Our people will be at your side to plan your days with you, keep the house spotless and deliver your breakfast daily. Celebrations for your special occasions can be planned and Private Chef caterings can be arranged. The space The Coat of Arms Mansion is comprised of a Main House and a Guest House, always offered as one. The House: The Main house accommodates 4 people in their private bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms. The Guest house sleeps another two people in a private bedroom with their own bathroom, but can also accommodate an additional two people when the Sofa Bed is opened to become a double bed. An elevated room - a common area study - can be used as a workstation. The guest house is essentially one big area. Both houses have kitchens and leisure areas internally, and share the outside areas - the peaceful patio between them with a wonderful bougainvillea supporting the shade, and the fabulous balcony on the Caldera with the Jacuzzi for six. There is ample space for all. The living & dining room of the main house could be part of a museum. The furniture is part of family history, beautifully maintained wooded pieces, and the walls are decorated with family members and family recognitions by the Venetian or Greek States in the past centuries. The family crest on the front balcony also symbolizes the history of the house. The experience: Katerina our concierge will be in contact before your arrival to arrange your arrival at the house, as well as any needs you have regarding transportation to the house or on the island in general. She will also have specific suggestions on pass times and activities (volcano cruises, jet ski or kayak days, scuba, horseback riding etc.) before you arrival and also propose restaurants we have tried and respect and may need bookings in advance -especially in the high season. Katerina will also take your daily breakfast order on the previous evening, which will be delivered every morning at a pre-agreed time frame. We encourage all communication through the Airbnb app in order for all our team to be constantly up to date on any issues needed to be taken care of. On arrival, our porter Beni will help you with your luggage. Our cleaning crew will come daily to keep the house spotless for you. Celebrating special occasions or just planning a special evening for our guests is an exciting time for us. Guests may want a special preparation for Birthdays, wedding anniversaries, wedding proposals or other special occasions. Talk to us - we can prepare an occasion the way you are thinking about it. A private Chef dinner can also be arranged for you, with a pre-agreed menu which will be prepared and served on premises. Relaxing on the veranda or cooling in the Jacuzzi with a view of the Santorini Caldera with a glass of wine while dinner is being prepared will be a moment to remember for a lifetime. The Area: The house is conveniently situated at the "borders" of the town of Fira, a five minute walk from the center where there are numerous restaurants to choose from, enjoy the Santorini night life scene at different bars and clubs, or visit all types of stores one next to the other in the narrow island streets. You will feel at the center of everything while enjoying the peace and quiet at the house in luxury. Around the corner from the house you will also find the famous Santorini cable car which takes you down the Caldera to the old port, to catch a boat to the Volcano or have a bite watching the cruise-ships in the bay. Walking from the house upward, one can enjoy the full length of the Caldera reaching Imerovigli through Firostefani in about 15 minutes, and potentially continuing to hike to Oia in a about two hours - without seeing a single car. On arrival we will also work with you to plan your days on the island. Guest access The house is on the path of the Caldera on one side, but there is a small road that is paved up to the house, and stops right outside. Parking usually is available outside the house. Alternatively there is a free parking lot 5 minutes away. Other things to note The ancestors of the family of Coat of Arms Mansion originated in Italy, moved to Greece and were appointed the Duchy of The Aegean by the Venetians who ruled the area until 1537 until it was occupied by the Ottomans. The family crest on the outside the house represents the title of an Earl as it bears a tower and a sword under the protection of a five-edge crown. In the 1800's descendants of the family built this unique property. Members played important roles in different EU countries (the UK, Austria, France and Germany). The Coat of Arms Mansion hosted personalities of the time - the successor of Prussia & Emperor of Germany, Wilhelm II, the archaeologist and first excavator of ancient Thira, Baron Hillier Von Gertingen and King Otto of Greece & Queen Amalia in 1853 to name a few.
