The interior is handmade in Oxfordshire with exceptional attention to comfort and detail. 🛁 Relax Under the Stars Your Scandinavian wood-fired hot tub is filled with fresh water (no chlorine) and heated ready for your arrival. Slip into the warmth beneath the night sky with complimentary Prosecco. There are two excellent country pubs within walking distance (or 15 minutes by car/taxi). The peaceful surroundings make it easy to switch off and reconnect. 💫 Private & Peaceful Within our private meadow, Ambrose sits about 100 yards from our other luxury hut, Humphrey. Each has its own secluded, completely private space, screened by natural hurdles and soft lighting to ensure complete privacy. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just escaping for a weekend, Ambrose Shepherd’s Hut offers the perfect romantic countryside retreat – luxurious, peaceful, and unforgettable. Guest access 'Ambrose' is in the meadow next to our farmhouse, but at a good distance away. We are available at all times for any help or recommendations if wanted, but otherwise you will have complete privacy. There is a gravel pathway from the open barns - with ample free private parking - to the hut. Until recently, the meadow was used for grazing animals and we are surrounded by open farmland. In the Springtime there's a good chance of seeing lambs gambolling around in the nearby fields. The Tunbridge Wells circular walk (of 40 miles) passes by the adjoining fields and along the beautiful grade 2 listed Victorian railway which is just visible on the horizon in winter months. Other things to note Further Info: Although we love both - 'Ambrose' is unsuitable for pets and children (sorry!) Smoking is not permitted inside the hut. Our Scandinavian wooden hot tub is completely free from chlorine and is filled with fresh water which can stay in for three days. We will greet guests and show you to 'Ambrose'. N.B Please DO NOT show yourself to the hut as there is important information that we need to share with you on your arrival for your safety and comfort. You will then be left in complete privacy for your stay, but we are on hand should you need us. Taxis are available from the High Brooms station (7 minutes by car) but only at peak times (so worth booking in advance). Tunbridge Wells Station (20 minutes by car) have taxis at all times. We are 50 minutes by rail from London Charing Cross. A very few guests have required more which can be supplied @£20 for a basket of logs and @£15 for more kindling and firelighters.
