The space The house sits on a half an acre of gardens while indoors there is a welcoming light-filled living area. Clonakilty has been designated as West Cork's Heritage Town by Board Failte, and a visit to the town soon shows why. You'll feel at home here among the attractive traditional shop fronts and hand painted signs. The Post Office is housed in an old Presbyterian church and the Town Council and Library in a converted Corn Mill with the river flowing beneath. Narrow streets and lanes open into elegant squares. In 1999 this colourful heritage town, with its pretty streetscape and renowned flower displays, was awarded the prize of Irelands tidiest town. Clonakilty is an award-winning town that offers the holidaymaker a great choice of cafés, restaurants, pubs and shops. Throughout the town you will find the produce of a range of local artisan food producers, and art and craft works that are inspired by this wonderful region. There is a cinema, two nine-hole golf courses within a short distance and a model railway village.
