Please note the house lies between two neighboring houses. * 15 minute drive to upstate grocery store. * 90 minute drive from New York City. * Luxury amenities like 100% French linen sheets, Casper beds, handmade furniture, etc. Built in 1942, the cabin is a two-bedroom mid-century gem. There is a large living room with a picture window and wood burning stove as its centerpiece. The master bedroom has a queen bed and 5+ windows that allow in an abundance of natural light. The second bedroom has a queen bed ideal for reading or watching TV. The bathroom is outfitted with towel heaters and modern appliances. The open kitchen is perfect for a warm gathering of friends and family and features an espresso machine. The cabin was renovated in 2020. The grounds are located in the pastoral and wild Delaware Valley of the Catskills. The cabin and 1 acre of the property is fenced in for ultimate privacy and a place for pets to roam or for the kids to play outside safely. Outside the fence, there is a walking trail that leads to a beautiful waterfall, which guests have access to. The Mongaup River is a quick walk and the Delaware River is just a five minute drive. Beyond the private grounds of the property are 10,000 acres of state land ideal for fishing, hunting, forest bathing, birding, swimming, and other outdoor activities. While we are willing to welcome children, please note the house is not childproofed. For example, we have a wood burning stove that is extremely hot and can be dangerous for young children. We are available through AirBnb messaging, emailing or texts. We have a crew member who is available onsite from 9am - 5pm. The house is outfitted for all-seasons and is ideal spot for families, friends, couples, or a solo artist from the city looking for a quiet retreat to get work done. It has all modern amenities: heat, hot water, high-speed internet, and a washer/dryer. It’s a 15 minute drive from the town of Port Jervis, which features coffee shops, a brewery, bars, and variety of restaurants. The location makes it a perfect gateway for day trips in the Catskills: the towns of Milford, Warwick, Narrowsburg, Livinginton Manor, and more are all easy drives under 45 minutes. The cabin is 15 minute drive from the Port Jervis train station. NJ Transit offers a train from Manhattan to Port Jervis; however we do recommend you rent a car if you're coming in the from city. The cabin is not childproofed. For example, the wood burning stove gets extremely hot and the basement area is a utility area that is unsafe for an unsupervised child. We welcome family bookings for older children as long as the parents understand it isn’t completely childproofed and take responsibility for their safety.
