Way nicer than the ordinary AirBnB: Cozy room in newly remodeled basement area with PRIVATE BATHROOM, TV and wet bar. Clean and comfortable. A 5 - 10 min drive to RED ROCKS! A quiet neighborhood at base of foothills near open space of Green Mtn with hiking and biking trails. Near I70 with quick access to the mountains. With 150+ 5 star reviews and growing, you will love your stay here. You get the benefit of a virtually private entrance, without the price and with bath attached to room. My home is ideal for 1 or 2 adults that want a quiet place when traveling for work, on vacation, Red Rocks, or need easy access to the mountains for any mountain activities, Downtown, Golden, Fed Center, St. Anthony's hospital or family and friends in Lakewood or Golden area. Even without Red Rocks concerts at the moment, there is still plenty to do nearby in the foothills and mountains! I live at the base of the Rockies, conveniently located 5-10 minutes from Red Rocks, a little more than an hour from ski resorts, and 20 minutes from downtown. My home features a secluded guest area in a newly remodeled basement. You practically get the benefit of a private entrance, entering in through the garage into the kitchen area where the steps to the basement descend. The private basement has 1 bedroom and can comfortably accommodate 1 or 2 adults. The bathroom is in the room and private. A Coffee Pot, Hot Plate, Microwave, coffee, tea, hot chocolate mix, cereal and bottled water are provided in the bar area to make your stay more comfortable. Refrigerator space is available in the refrigerator in laundry room. Water is available in the refrigerator as well for guests. Small skillet, and pots available for use with Hot Plate. This is essentially full kitchen ammenities, with NO stove or oven. The bedroom has a cozy queen pillow top bed, chest of drawers, and closet space. It also has a private bathroom with a shower, towels, hair dryer, and a few toiletries. Please note that the recreation room is not a private space as the home owner will need access to the space once or twice a day to do laundry and workout. There is NO sleeping allowed in the recreation room. I do NOT allow pets. And, NO smoking, vaping, or 420 of any kind. The recreation room has a large 55" TV with surround sound. The bar area has enough for microwaving meals or quick things to eat. You can use the washer and dryer if your stay is a week or longer. The home is a ranch style house, and the guests will have access to the entire finished basement with their own private bedroom and bathroom. Access to the house will be provided with a code to enter the garage. The door into the house is directly above the steps to the basement. Please be sure to close the garage door after entering the house (unless you are going in and out on arrival or departure). Please keep shoes off in the house and you can leave them at the top of the steps or in the garage. I live upstairs. I work from home, so I am easily available for questions and suggestions of what to do. I also have 2 dogs that will stay upstairs and they are both non-allergic non-shedding dogs. During the evenings I mostly stay upstairs. I am happy to leave you to your own devices, but I think part of this journey is the cool people who I may meet. I love meeting new people and talking if you want to. I'd love to give you advice on where to go and what to do while you're visiting our beautiful area. I can advise on great eats, hiking, downhill or cross country skiing, and LOVE Colorado! I live in the foothills of Colorado. Our house is one mile from Green Mountain, an amazing outdoor hiking/biking area. You can easily walk there (I do all of the time). There is a rec center that is also within easy walking distance. We are a 5-10-minute drive to Red Rocks and live close to other great outdoor areas, such as Bear Creek, Roxborough State Park, Evergreen, and Golden. You can get to many of the major ski areas in just over an hour (without traffic). Downtown Denver is also a short 20 minute drive. Golden is close by too. We live 2 miles from Federal Center Station, which is the local train line. It's an easy, 30-minute train ride to Union Station, which is in the heart of downtown (no transfers necessary). It is a 20-minute drive to downtown. Parking is available for one car in front of the house, or on the driveway. The airport in Denver is approximately a 45-minute drive from here. You can get a shuttle to and from Union Station for appx $11 and then take the train to Federal Station. From there, we are a short cab ride away. Several guests have used Uber or Lyft to get around as well. If deciding to rent a car or use Uber or Lyft, here is some info from a past guest: Getting to Red Rocks would be $10-$12 (alone around $16). Getting home, They do a rate hike. To get a car home alone it would have been $50, using ride share back it cost around $25. Another guest said rental car deals were available that made it a better price with more flexibility. Redrocks is REALLY close - a 5-10 min. drive, approximately 6 miles. Also, without traffic, you can get to Keystone, A-Basin, and Winter Park in a little more than an hour. It's also a great spot to stop for a couple nights if you get in late from the airport. We are about 10 minutes from I-70. 20 mins from beautiful downtown Denver, and 10 mins from Golden. Also, a great affordable option near the I70 entrance to the mountains. I know a lot about the local trails and skiing areas. I am not loud and do not party.
