The Tai-an teahouse, a National Treasure, embodies the unique Japanese aesthetic of "wabi-sabi." This essence has been reinterpreted in a modern way to create a minimalist, tranquil space where time flows. The Tai-an's design, considered the origin of minimalism, has influenced world-renowned architects and continues to live on in many spaces today as a Zen-inspired design. This room offers a simple, tranquil aesthetic and a comfortable escape from the everyday. Although located underground, the room is bright with morning sunlight streaming in through the east-facing skylight. The privacy of one household per floor is also appealing, and there's even storage space beneath the elevated bed that fits a suitcase. The interior has been completely renovated, making use of the existing bathroom and kitchen. The ventilation fan and dehumidifier are always running, keeping the air clean even underground. Elevator access is also available, making it a convenient place for those with heavy luggage. ★Fully equipped, allowing for a truly residential stay. There is no bath, only a shower booth, but the toilet and bathroom are separate. The compact kitchen, designed for single occupancy, is equipped with cooking utensils, tableware, a single-burner induction cooktop, and a refrigerator. A projector and Amazon Fire TV are installed, allowing for movies to be enjoyed at full volume. (Some noise is permitted as the first floor is a karaoke cafe.) There is no washing machine, but there are three laundromats within a two-minute walk. Additionally, since there are multiple rooms in the same building, please contact us for group reservations. ★Please Note This room is located on the first basement floor, so it is not exposed to direct sunlight. The karaoke cafe on the first floor may be heard late at night (7:00 PM - 11:00 PM). (Operates irregularly.) - *In order to protect the environment, disposable toothbrushes are not provided. Spend time in peace and beauty. Enjoy such moments in this Tai-an-inspired space. Guest access The floor is completely reserved for your group. If you go underground, there are no other households. Other things to note No1. This is a basement. There is a little light in the morning, but no light during the day.
