Insurance/County codes restrict the Airbnb guests to 3. No exceptions, all guests must be registered. Other things to note: We host guest with allergies . No animals are allowed on premises (our guardian dogs also consider other animals as predators!) *This is a 2nd floor apartment, requiring stair climbing. NOT recommended for individuals with mobility issues. You are welcome to walk around the property and REGISTERED guests have access to the pool June-Labor Day, 11 a.m.-Dusk. We are happy to introduce you to our livestock and guardian dogs (2). Please do not enter any fenced areas unless attended by Bill or Cindy; refrain from reaching inside the fence. Our dogs are friendly, but are on duty protecting their herd! We are a working farm operating tours, educational , volunteers, & operating heavy equipment after 8 a.m. Our dogs are nocturnal-- on duty all night! Hospitality is an important aspect of our alpaca retreat experience. We want to be unobtrusive, but available when you need us. Self check-in is provided. Our apartment is a private, separate space above the detached garage; Hampden- Sydney College (2.4 miles/5 mins) & Longwood University (6.2 miles/9 mins). Richmond, Charlottesville & Lynchburg are about an hour away as are several Virginia state parks. The apartment has fully equipped kitchenette, small dining area, a queen bed, sitting area & electric fireplace, separate TV area. Futon for 1 adult or 2 children (over the age of 3). NO animals, in the living space or onsite please, NO EXCEPTIONS. (our LGDs will not tolerate a pet) No WiFi---we are rural, and the technology is behind the times. We do have DISH TV :) We have maps, menus, tourist info and other informational materials available in the apartment so you can plan your shopping, hiking, sightseeing or collegiate experience. We arrived in Farmville in June 2016 and have been very busy converting our tiny farm to a beautiful home for alpacas . We currently own 12 alpacas & 2 working dogs ( Livestock Guardian Dogs) named Jili & Journey; our Italian Maremma Sheepdogs. We are a unique working farm, and sometimes night predators will keep our dogs busy barking, we apologize , but we can not predict how this might impact your sleep!
