The space Enjoy fishing, boating and relaxing on beautiful Rice Lake! Our private waterfront cottage is located a short walk from Harwood and a short drive from either Cobourg or Peterborough. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen with a spacious sit down eating area and includes dishes and cookware. The family room is roomy and comfortable with a beautiful view of the lake. The bathroom includes a shower and lots of hot water. All three private bedrooms are bright and airy, have comfortable mattresses and include linens, pillows and blankets. The cottage sleeps six comfortably plus there is a couch and extra cot if needed. Friendly well behaved pets are welcome too. Inside, use the complimentary WiFi and 55" flat panel smart Roku TV to connect to your own online content and services, watch a movie on the included DVD player or plug in your own hardware devices. Or step away from technology for a while and play cards and board games at the kitchen table or just sit by the large patio door and relax. Outside, fire up the included gas barbecue and dine on the main deck or head up to the raised deck above the boathouse where you'll find chairs for lounging and suntanning. Light a fire in the fire pit on the lawn and sit in the sun or under the shade tree during the day and gaze at the sunset and stars at night. On the water enjoy swimming and paddling around the shoreline with our complimentary canoe, paddle boards and kayaks. There is also space to tie your own small boat or other watercraft at the dock. Bring your fishing gear and cast right off the private dock or head over to the sandbar across the bay for a great fishing spot (don't forget your fishing license!). Guest access As our guest you have exclusive use of the entire cottage, upper boathouse deck and fenced yard including the dock and shoreline as well as private parking for up to three vehicles on the property. Other things to note Rice Lake is well known for it’s fishing and boating but there are plenty of other things to do nearby. We have a few things listed in the guidebook area but check out the internet for an almost limitless number of attractions from local fairs and farmers markets to nature trails and outdoor concerts.
