This house is perfect for families, couples & small groups looking for a beach getaway. Conveniently located in Newport’s Nye Beach 1 hour from Corvallis & 2.5 hours from Portland. The space This stately house has all the comforts of home and ocean-view seating on the front porch. The space is open and inviting with vaulted ceilings, and plenty of room to roam. The bedroom and bath linens are high quality cotton, and beach towels are located in the downstairs bathroom. Enjoy our eclectic style and vintage authenticity of the furnishings and appointments. The main floor is elevated off the street and provides privacy and ocean views from the outdoor deck. The main floor includes the kitchen, dinning and living areas, 1/2 bath, and a small bedroom with double sized pull out couch. TV and DVD player on first floor with Netflix and Spectrum cable for local TV stations. The second floor has large primary bedroom with king sized bed, ocean views, and an en suite bathroom with a soaking tub and European style shower. Primary bedroom has TV with Netflix and Spectrum cable. Clothes washer and dryer located in primary bath. Second floor also hosts a bathroom with a stand up shower, and an additional bedroom with a queen bed and twin daybed. Ready for more stairs? The large 3rd floor loft has three beds (two twins and a double), a sectional couch, and TV with Netflix. Great space for kids, games and movie nights! The gourmet kitchen is fully stocked for family dinners, with a service for eight. All major appliances along with coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, baking and cookware, crockpot, kitchen aid mixture, and lots more! If cooking isn't in your plans, walk to one of several restaurants, cafes or pubs. A small hardscape backyard offers a 4 person hot tub, a small fire pit, and a picnic table for al fresco dining. We also offer two BBQs- one gas and a Kamado Joe charcoal grill for all of your outdoor grilling needs. Two outdoor storage containers contain a rotating supply of beach chairs, beach toys, and other fun accessories to make your stay fun. Prepare yourself to enjoy all that Nye Beach in Newport has to offer- you're in the heart of everything and just steps from the beach! Newport was listed as one of the 20 best beaches in the US by Trips to Discover in 2023. Nye Beach is Newport's ocean-front district lffocated on Oregon's picturesque central coast it is a great beach town for families. It’s home to numerous kid-friendly attractions like the Oregon Coast Aquarium and the Hatfield Marine Science Center along the Bayfront. You can also watch sea lions and spend time on idyllic sandy beaches building sandcastles, flying kites, and all the other usual beach-type activities. While you’re visiting, you won’t want to miss visiting Yaquina Head, the site of Oregon’s tallest and second-oldest active lighthouse. The lighthouse, which stands 93 feet tall, was completed in 1872 and built in a natural area created by lava flow over 14 million years ago. One mile from the Bayfront, hiking trails and two miles from the Aquarium and Rogue Brewery. Enjoy! Guest access The building is 4 stories tall. The ground level hosts Bridies Irish Faire- a delightful Irish gift shop. Bridies is separate from Nyeplace, and has a private entrance on the ground level. Nyeplace begins on the second level and rises three stories. Be prepared for lots of space, and lots of stairs! You will have access to the entire house and backyard. We have a small private area behind the curtain in the kitchen and a couple of locked cubby closets on the 3rd floor. Please respect our private spaces and do not access these areas. Other things to note There are outdoor Nest cams on the front and back porch for security purposes. Please do not disconnect these devices. Accessibility and Stairs: the house has LOTS of stairs, and is not accessible for those using mobility devices without assistance. Guests with mobility restrictions should contact us with questions. The upstairs loft area is wonderful for children and family time, but supervision is advised as the stairwells are open and the windows do not have screens. Parking is on-street, and is free for 3-hours. You can purchase a day parking pass, or park about a block away unrestricted. See the arrival guide for more information about parking.
