Sweet Escape in Ojai (Meiners Oaks)

As of January 19, 2019, aggressive local ordinances in Ventura County prohibit short-term rentals under 30 days. In the meantime, I look forward to hosting guests for periods of 30 days and longer. I wasn't able to replace the photos yet for August rental as I am out of town 7.20.24. The space Charming and quiet light-filled retreat surrounded by garden. Newly redone interior is bright and modern yet cozy and welcoming. The perfect place to relax after enjoying a walk around the hip village of Meiners Oaks, and all the amenities of the main town of Ojai, a five-minute drive (or ten-minute bike ride) away. There is a separate gated access at the top of a driveway set back from the street. The two units are completely divided. You enter the house down a little walkway, and there is a private garden leading out from the main living area, as well as a little patio off of the kitchen. In the garage storage area, there is a washer/dryer for your use, and three bikes: one adult Linus, one small adult/large kid, and one small kid. Other things to note This house is a great balance of country mouse/city mouse. Just far enough away from the city to make one feel completely at peace with a taste of life in the country. Located in a quiet neighborhood across from lush orange groves, the Ventura River Preserves are a 5-minute walk from your door, with trail rides on horseback available from Western Trail Rides. Please be aware that indigenous California wildlife is part of the landscape. Please in the warmer months tell kids to be vigilant as rattlesnakes are part of the natural landscape and guests should be aware when hiking and with kids and dogs to remain vigilant when it is hot out. These critters don't want to interact with us but this mountain range is their home so we should be aware when enjoying its natural splendor! Otherwise enjoy the utter gorgeousness! Incredible beaches are 15 minutes to Ventura and 30 to Carp. For those with accessibility concerns, please note that there are a few items that may be relevant, as this is an older unit. There are no stairs. However, there is a rather steep sloped driveway to the gate of the unit, and the entrance of the gate is fairly narrow. There is a brief walkway from the gate to the door, which is uneven brick. The interior doorways are pretty narrow and not wheelchair accessible. I welcome all comers, and am happy to answer any specific questions you may have, as well as provide additional accessibility to the extent that it is possible for me to do so.
