Ponderosa Cabin at House on Metolius

Description

The Ponderosa cabin is part of House on Metolius, a private resort and nature reserve on the pristine Metolius River. Enjoy views of Mount Jefferson across the natural meadow, and the gentle arc of the river as it traverses the property. The cabin itself features a bedroom with a king-sized bed. From the sitting area or the private deck, you can hear the Metolius River tumbling through the gorge below. The space The best part of staying at House on Metolius is the two-hundred plus acres of private nature reserve . With only a limited number of cabins on the property, you'll find plenty of space to go for a stroll along the river, wander through forest and just relax and enjoy the views. EVENTS & PHOTOGRAPHY: To help us provide the best experience for all guests, please note that events of any kind may not be held in the cabin during your stay. All weddings, elopements, ceremonies, and photography or vendor-involved activities are not permitted in the cabin. These activities are permitted at our Main House, which is rented directly through our front desk as our designated event venue. By booking this cabin, you are agreeing not to host events or invite non-registered guests or vendors to the property without prior approval. Our team specializes in creating memorable events and would love to host yours at the Main House. Please contact our front desk for more information. Guest access Only registered guests are allowed on the property. You will receive a gate code with the check-in information. You will find plenty of room to roam on the 200-acres of House on Metolius. Other things to note Smoking House on Metolius is located in a forested area, and many of the structures are wooden cabins, so fire hazard is something that we take very seriously. No smoking is allowed inside any of the buildings, and we ask that guests also avoid smoking in the surrounding forested areas. Smoking is allowed outside, but must be at least ten feet from public facilities, lodges and other facilities. Smoking in a guest room or building will incur an automatic damage and cleaning fee of $250. Pet Policy Due to the potential for conflict with wildlife, we do not allow pets on the property at House on Metolius. Fly Fishing The Metolius River is fly-fishing only on this stretch of river. Equipment, flies and fishing licenses can be obtained at the nearby Camp Sherman store, or let us arrange for a full or half day of guided fishing on the property (please give us a few days advance notice to make sure that one of our guides is available). Internet and Cell Coverage Cell coverage in the Metolius Basin is limited—you’ll usually get one or two bars, and occasionally none at all. Text messages typically work with just one bar, and WiFi calling is available on the property. The House on Metolius internet is slower than average, usually fine for video calls or screen sharing, but not ideal for streaming movies or large downloads. We recommend downloading anything you might need in advance. Most guests find plenty of “offline” ways to enjoy the property—curl up with a good book or take in the river views. We hope you enjoy your stay!
