Idyllic guesthouse on farm with boat rental

Welcome to our guest house at Namsenfjorden. We are pleased that people enjoy their stay here on our farm. They give feedback that they find peace and that the place has a lot to offer. In the guest house it is nice to just be, or you can go in the woods, on the mountain, along the highway or explore the sea life (boat/canoe/kayak) and try your luck at fishing. The guest house is small and cozy. Suitable for you traveling alone, but also for family/group, see photo for sleeping places. The house is available for private use. Pets are allowed. The space Søndre Ganes farm is located on a peninsula, 16 km from Namsos city center, in scenic surroundings and has been in the family for several generations. The road ends 1 km beyond the farm. The area around us consists of typical Namdal hilly forest terrain and cultivated land, and we have our own beach line towards Namsenfjorden. The guest house overlooks the south/west towards the fjord. In the guest house you will find: - a well-equipped kitchen with oven/stove, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker and coffee press - kitchen table with space for 4 (5) people - spacious bathroom with shower, toilet, sink and washing machine - sofa, TV with Chromecast - loft that can function as bedroom 2 or living room - stair gate mounted on top of the stairs from the loft - duvets, pillows and all bed linen - Towels - puzzles and board games, as well as books and comics - Toys for small children we can find, just give us a hint Please note that the guest house is quite small and there are sleeping places for 4 people (a bit cramped with 4 adults staying for a longer period). Sleeping arrangements (see pictures): - Bedroom 1 - a bedroom with a double bed from wall to wall (150x210). - Bedroom 2 - spacious loft with sofa bed (120x200) and 2 good mattresses (80x200). - Bedroom 3 - sofa bed in kitchenette (120x200), as well as a good sofa in the living room - Baby bed, please let me know if you'd like this. Other facilities: - plenty of space for parking just outside the house - fire pit - charcoal grill - BBQ house by the seafront - outdoor furniture - Private beach for fishing and swimming - Access to floating jetty in summer - Playhouse in simple standard - Fresh milk and eggs are available if you wish. - If you want to visit the barn, please contact us for an appointment. Please note! You must borrow clothes and shoes from us, and you cannot visit us if you have been in a barn abroad during the last 48 hours. We want healthy animals, and it is important to avoid infection. - We can also contribute with guided mountain hikes and/or boat trips if desired, contact us for an appointment. In the period 15 April - 15 September we can offer: - boat rental. 17'' aluminum boat, with 50 hp engine and map plotter/echo sounder. Price per day NOK 850. If you want to rent a boat for more than 2 days, you can ask for a special price. Fuel is not included, and we are happy to help you get fuel. The boat can accommodate 6 people, but best with a maximum of 5. - Rental of kayak (1 pc). Price per day NOK 200. - Rental of canoe (1 pc). Daily price NOK 200. All traffic on and by the sea is at your own risk and it is mandatory to wear a life jacket. We have a safety review with all tenants before renting a boat, canoe and/or kayak. In Norway, there is a requirement for an approved boat license to drive a boat if you were born after 01.01.1980. International licenses may be approved. If you are in doubt, you can contact the Norwegian Maritime Authority. If you need help, you can send us a message. We have some life jackets available, please contact us. Other nearby amenities that guests have used: - illuminated cross-country ski trail, with prepared ski trails in winter if snow conditions - football pitch and ball court - riding lessons at the horse center/farm - mountain hike to Ravnholet on Otterøya - Ice bath in our fjord - Trip to the beautiful island of Jøa, Olav Duun's kingdom. Here there are several places with the possibility of dining, great hiking opportunities and not least the new attraction Jøatrappa. - Guests have come with their own kayaks and explored Namsenfjorden - Salmon fishing in Namsen and its tributaries - Mountain and fishing trip in Botnan with the Norwegian map - ride with dresin along Namsen. Rental at Namsos Camping - buy fresh cheese at the neighboring farm Toddum - Eat at restaurants in Namsos Guest access You have to travel to and from here by car, bike or boat. Poor bus connections and taxi must be booked from Namsos. If you arrive via highway 769: Take the intersection at Sørenget school and follow Ganesvegen (it says TreeCon on the sign at the intersection). Drive about 3 km until you reach Søndre Ganes farm. Drive past the barn and you will find the ocher yellow house on the left side. Free and spacious parking in front of the guest house. You can also come by sea, and dock at our quay (period April 15 - September 15). Please contact us for further details. Other things to note New in autumn 2023 - two windows have been installed on the loft for better ventilation, and the bedroom on the 1st floor has been made larger. New in spring 2024 - we have built a terrace on the backside of the house. You arrive at the farm by driving 2.5 km on a slightly narrow, and somewhat bumpy road. On this farm there is active operation with milk production and animal husbandry. In addition to the animals in the barn, we have chickens, roosters, cats, dogs (Labrador) that are on a leash and a tractor. The nearest grocery store is in Namsos, 16 km. TV only works when using Chromecast, from your own mobile or PC. You can drink the water from the tap. Please note! See our description in text and pictures regarding sleeping places. We have written that there is room for 4 in the guest house. - 4 adults over time can become crowded. - sleeping places can be arranged for 5 (6) adults, if you can tolerate living in a cramped space for one night.
