The cottages in the Village of Silence were hand-carved 30 years ago. In 2023, the cottages will be completely renovated. The cottage has its own toilet, coffee maker, kettle, microwave and refrigerator. On the terrace of the cottage, there is a wood-heated hot tub, which can be ordered separately. There is a main building in the area where you will find a restaurant with a license to serve alcohol, where breakfast is served and dinner is prepared to order. The main building also has separate toilets and showers for women and men. The space The Village of Silence, located in Kittilä, in the village of Tepsa on the shore of Lake Kuolajärvi. We have peace and quiet to offer. The area is spacious and in the atmospheric glass-roofed northern lights cottages you can enjoy the northern lights and the night sky. There are a variety of activities available in the area. There is a campfire area near the cottages where you can cook your own food while enjoying the warmth and light of a live fire. Across the lake to the cottage is a route that you can take by skiing or fatbiking. There is a sledding hill on our own slope and skating on the lake ice. Ski boots, snowshoes and skates are available for rent. We also offer guided ice fishing trips. You can rent a snowmobile either for independent driving or for a guided northern lights tour. The area has its own driving practice track for snowmobiling, which you can use for independent driving. The main building has a restaurant where you can have a tasty breakfast and dinner. If you have a special diet or allergies, please let us know when you book. On the shore of the lake there is a genuine wood-fired sauna and an ice swimming area. You can book them for your own use for a fee. You can access the Kittilä snowmobile trails from the yard. The route to Kuolavaara's house is nine kilometers. Kumputunturi is 25 km away. By car: Levi Ski Resort 50 minutes. Kittilä Airport 40 minutes. 2 hours to Rovaniemi Airport. Sodankylä 40 minutes. Other things to note The hot tub in the apartment is filled and heated by reservation. The hot tubs are filled with lake water. Filling and heating takes about 4 hours.
