Small studio in historical building, central location, only 15 minutes walk to the cathedral and main train station, free wifi The space 20 m² studio apartment with nice wooden flooring on the 3rd floor of a 4-story apartment building with box spring bed (160 cm width), TV, wardrobe, iron & ironing board, dining table, and small kitchenette with refrigerator, ceramic hob, electric kettle, and coffee machine. The bathroom comes with a shower and hairdryer. Free Wi-Fi is available. A weekly cleaning service (including the change of bed sheets & towels) is available upon request for €48 per week. For longer rentals, a private mailbox is available upon request. The apartment building is located in Cologne's historic center (Altstadt-Süd district) in a side street next to the historic Eigelsteintorburg – a preserved archway of medieval Cologne’s city wall. Around the Eigelstein, there are many small streets with a wide variety of restaurants, cafés, bars, and small shops. Shops for everyday needs are also located in the immediate vicinity. The cathedral and main train station are within walking distance. The Ebertplatz subway station is only a 3-minute walk away, from where lines (12, 15, 16, 18) take you to all destinations in Cologne. The Hansaring S-Bahn station is also only a 3-minute walk away, with fast connections to the main train station and to destinations outside of Cologne. The apartment building with its historic pre-war façade was completely restored in 2013, preserving the original windows, stucco ceilings, and wooden floors. (Nearest tram stops: Ebertplatz, Hansaring) Please note that the apartment is on a 3rd floor and there is no elevator! Guest access You will have the entire apartment to yourself. Please note that there is no parking space available at the building and public parking is hard to find due to the central location. We recommend to not come by car or leave it at one of the park & ride parking lots on the city's outskirts. Other things to note The city of Cologne issues a city tax of 5% of the rent, which will be automatically added to the price. House rules: Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the building. Out of respect for our neighbours, parties and noise are prohibited. It is also not permitted to receive guests in the apartment without our approval. We ask our guests to provide the full names of their fellow travelers when booking and reserve the right to randomly check the identity of those present in the building. The use of the apartment for commercial purposes is forbidden and will be punished in case of violation. We reserve the right to exercise our domiciliary rights in the event of violations of these rules. For the safety of our guests, the entrance and hallways are under video surveillance.
