Little Olive (1853) is a duplex small cottage that has been completely styled and renovated to create a unique, memorable stay for 2 guests. Within walking distance to Albury CBD and is surrounded by wonderful shops & cafes in the South Albury precinct. Mister Browns 2 bedroom cottage next door is also available, and is more suitable for families. The space There’s an old poetry in these walls, built by the Brown family, among Albury’s earliest dreamers. Their story lingers next door at Browns Lagoon, where roses lean to the water, swans glide through the mist, and sometimes a baby turtle pokes its little head up to say hello. It sounds like a fairytale, I know, but it’s true. Now this 1850's cottage opens her doors to travellers seeking calm, comfort, and the strange sweetness of belonging somewhere you’ve never been. Step through the French doors and you’ll find a garden that overflows with character and fruit, olives, lemons, limes, oranges, pomegranates, all yours to pluck, should the mood, season (or your cocktail) call for it. She sits quietly, yet perfectly placed, just over 1km walk from Dean Street, and mere moments from Albury’s most beloved coffee, bread, and produce. The locals will tell you to stop by Ebden & Olive, Crust & Crumb Bakery, or Almar Organics, though you’ll likely be drawn there by the smell before the sign. Little Olive is a private duplex with its own driveway, parking, and established gardens. Behind her little fence you’ll find peace, shade, and that unmistakable hush of a home that’s been well loved. 🗝️ For Our Furry Friends We believe life is better with paws and wet noses. A small $50 pet fee per stay applies (this helps us cover the extra care, cleaning, and checks that come with our four-legged guests.) We welcome up to two small or medium, well-mannered dogs. Please mention them in your booking notes (and remind them that “sit” and “stay” apply here too). Cats, regretfully, are not permitted as allergy prevention for all guests. 🗝️ Creature Comforts Inside, you’ll find all the modern spoils a traveller could hope for (and a few charming anachronisms): Reverse-cycle heating and cooling in the lounge, keeping the cottage cosy year-round Wood fireplace from April through early October. Fully equipped kitchen with full-size fridge, dishwasher, electric cooktop, and thoughtful little extras Bluetooth speaker, Wi-Fi TV with Netflix, and a custom Spotify playlist curated by me for lazy afternoons. 🗝️ Neighbourhood Nods Coffee: Ebden & Olive or Nan Ninas – 1 minute stroll Grocer: Almar Organics – 2 minutes Bakery: Crust & Crumb – 1 minute (trust your nose) Homewares & Fashion: Di Billiet – 2 minutes of delightful distraction 🗝️ Provisions & Pleasantries One-night guests: Tea, coffee, milk, and condiments await. Two-night guests: Breakfast provisions for your first morning — fresh bread, butter, juice, and preserves. Every guest enjoys pantry staples (olive oil, salt, pepper, sugar) and basic toiletries. 🗝️ Children Our cottage is small and not designed with children in mind. However, while it isn’t suited to children, infants or small children may work (I'll leave that up to you to decide). Please do let us know, and we’ll prepare a few extra niceties — an extra towel, or perhaps extra coffee! 🗝️ Early Check-in Should our housekeeping team work their magic early, we’ll be in touch the moment the cottage is available you'll be let know via Airbnb messages. This often happens before 2pm, however we can't guarantee it. And so she stands — Little Olive — quiet, generous, and gently perfumed with the past.
