The Martha Hoeve is a large guest house ideal for groups. Enjoy country living with modern luxury. En-suite bathroom with toilet and rain shower. - 2 beds per room, extra (baby) beds are possible in consultation The space In 2021 we, Mark & ​​Jennifer, have rebuilt the tail of our farm where the cow shed used to be. We have rebuilt this ourselves. We used authentic materials with a new look and equipped with modern luxury. The Martha Hoeve is located in the polder on the edge of the West Frisian village Ursem. From the residence you can enjoy the surroundings and the rural sounds such as the grunt of Truus, the pig. Enjoy the view over our alpaca's. And collect the eggs from our chickens. We have been living in the front part of the farm since 2019, and we enjoy it every day. Last year we made a playground for the children. Which is fenced. And a beautiful fruit tree garden was planted. On the ground floor is a space of 100m2 where you can warm up in the sitting area by the wood stove with stone oven. You will also find a TV with chromecast in the sitting area. You can use free WiFi throughout the guest house. There is a spacious kitchen equipped with everything you need to prepare a delicious meal. You can sit at the high and low table and use the billiards and dartboard. In the hall there is a spacious toilet and a laundry room with washing machine and dryer. Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms, all equipped with their own thermostat, a TV with chromecast and for each bedroom an en-suite bathroom with toilet and rain shower. Each room has 2 beds per room, but (baby) beds can be added in consultation. We provide all rooms with towels and bed linen. Guest access The residence is centrally located between the VOC city Hoorn and Alkmaar which is known as the cheese city, both 15 minutes away. Close by you will find the famous beaches such as Egmond and Bergen aan Zee. But the major cities such as Amsterdam (30 min), Haarlem (30 min) and Zaandam (25 min) are also nearby. Cycle the beautiful Polder Route from the residence to what is known as the most beautiful village in the Netherlands, De Rijp (9 km). This guesthouse is the ideal starting point for a cycling or walking tour. (Motorcycle) bicycles can be stored inside and charged. Free parking is also available on the farmyard. In the area there are many opportunities for indoor shopping, swimming, bowling, watching a movie in the cinema, etc. In Spierdijk you will find one of the most beautiful golf courses in the Netherlands. The Broekerveiling museum is located in Langedijk, which is also worth a visit. At 300m distance there is the possibility to rent a boat and you can see the above mentioned cities and villages from the water. It is also possible to rent (electric) bicycles on request. We are happy to help you! Other things to note - The bedrooms have 2 beds per room. In consultation, (baby) beds can be added. When you make a reservation for more than 8 people, you will be charged €35,- per night for each additional person. - You must pay the tourist tax(€1,50 per person per night) on the spot. - Smoking is not allowed.
