Description
The Byre is 6 miles from Glencoe, nestled above picturesque Loch Leven, with stunning 360-degree mountain views. A 10-minute walk from friendly Kinlochleven, this charming and special place to stay was originally where the local estate deer stalker kept his horse. This recently refurbished and extended cottage combines tradition with modern luxury, total peace with local amenities. A perfect romantic, luxury retreat for two, and a cosy, comfortable base for outdoor sports and sightseeing. The space The decor is light and bright and the views surrounding the cottage are beautiful. Wild deer can sometimes be seen grazing on the hillside and in the pasture at the front, especially during winter when they come down the mountain to sleep. The cottage contains one spacious bedroom, with a king size bed, and incredible views to enjoy with your cuppa in the morning. The stylish, modern bathroom has a large walk-in shower, and the kitchen is well laid-out and equipped. There is efficient gas central heating and a combination boiler that provides instant hot water. Guest access Although there is a local bus service running between Kinlochleven and Fort William, you’ll really need a car to tour the area properly, although you can get essentials down in the village, 10 mins walk away (the walk is along the road, although it isn’t a busy road and people tend to drive with care). There is parking beside The Byre for one car. The track is gravelled and well drained, accessible to all domestic vehicles. Other things to note We have only relatively recently bought The Byre, but it has been a very popular holiday let for 6 years, during which time it had 100% 5* reviews. I am working with the lovely previous owners to maintain the high standard they set as hosts. Please note, although the cottage itself is fine for babies sharing your room (you’ll need to bring a travel cot), they should be supervisedh at all times in the unenclosed garden. Similarly, dogs can easily roam beyond the garden, and there are deer in the area. Please get in touch if you can’t see the exact dates you wish to book, we may be able to help. You will be staying in the midst of stunning and wild scenery, and will see lots of wildlife - including the odd mouse in the house, looking for a nice warm place to shelter! This sort of visitor goes with the territory, but do let me know. Registration Details HI- 41254 -F
