Description

Wander down the winding lane from the rural county road. Ambling thru the trees, suddenly the view opens across the river valley and hills. Here, perched atop the bluff is a 3-bedroom cottage with the all creature comforts. In front, the view opens for miles. Below is the Gasconade river and valley with Ozark hills rolling beyond. From the cottage an ancient trail leads to the river. Canoe, hike, fish, explore, nature watch, or simply discover serenity and renewal in a magnificent location. The space The cottage has a roomy kitchen, living area, three bedrooms with comfortable queen beds and full bath. A deck overlooks and valley. There is a fire pit outside (wood provided), adirondack chairs, and a huge picnic table. This is a location made for nature lovers and those seeking a break from the work-a-day world. Hear coyotes sing in the valley at night. Owls calling in the woods. Stories around the campfire at night. Restful sleep until morning. Guest access On your first visit the owners will show you to the cottage and introduce you to the location and area. The cottage is very private, far away from roads or any other cabins. There is plenty of room for parking, playing and enjoying the out of doors. Canoes located at the river are available anytime. There is plenty of hiking on the 150 acre property and a nearby trailhead. Other things to note Bring only your personal things and food. Of course, hiking boots if needed, fishing gear if you are inclined, perhaps a good book and your camera. If you plan on getting out on the river or go swimming in the creek be sure to bring your own towels.
