Our climate-neutral and sustainable apartment, furnished with a lot of attention to detail and equipped in the best possible way, offers you a place to feel good and relax. Private parking is available directly at the property free of charge. In addition to the overnight costs, the rental price includes the provision of bed linen, towels, dish towels, dishwashing and cleaning agents, garbage bags as well as Wi-Fi and Netflix use. The apartment has two TVs. The space The fully equipped kitchen with electric stove (all types of heating), ceramic hob, extractor hood, side-by-side fridge/freezer with ice maker, dishwasher, microwave with oven, coffee maker, samovar tea maker, steaker, kitchen scale, blender and much more offers every comfort. Open living/dining room with electrically adjustable couch, TV with the possibility of a network connection and streaming service Netflix. Dining room table with 4 chairs and access to balcony. Washing and drying is possible on request. The surroundings of this property: Over 200 km of great hiking and cycling tours along the Rhine and the Sieg can be started from Rheidt am Rhein. For example, on the Sieg cycle path, the river is your constant companion for 67 km, or the most species-rich nature reserve in North Rhine-Westphalia, the Wahner Heide with 177 km², is worth seeing not only during the heath's heyday. Many excursion tips and maps are in the apartment but are also easy to find on the Internet or you can ask us, we will help where we can. Hiking trails on the Rhine & Sieg & Laach with ice cream parlors and beach bars. Bus lines to Cologne, Bonn and Siegburg can be reached by foot in 5 minutes (stop Rheidt-Nord or Rheidt Unterführung: 550, 501 and a fast bus to Bonn SB55. Guest access We ourselves now live with our two small mixed-breed animal welfare dogs Filou and Juri in the basement of the two-story house and, after our children went their own way, decided to offer the now empty part of our house as an apartment for those seeking relaxation, business people, business travelers, etc. The self-contained apartment is on the 2nd floor and is accessible by a separate staircase. We are both working, but thanks to our home office and flexible working hours, we are always available to listen to your wishes and questions. And if you have the time and desire, we can also get together for an exchange over a cool Kölsch or a glass of wine in our courtyard. True to the motto, nothing is a must, everything is possible. Other things to note The location of our apartment, almost in the middle of the Rhineland, offers a variety of options to make your stay varied. Numerous museums, attractions and excursion destinations as well as hiking and biking trails are very close. Our climate contribution We want to do our part to ensure that the generations after us can still enjoy our beautiful planet Earth. "When is a house climate-neutral and what distinguishes it? Climate-neutral or climate-positive buildings are not only sustainable, they permanently save energy due to high energy efficiency in their own consumption. Climate-positive buildings produce enough electricity through renewable energies to meet their own needs and also feed electricity into the grid." That's why our house is equipped with a 9 kWp photovoltaic system and electricity storage. We have also installed a heat pump that heats in winter and cools in summer. To compensate for the built-up area, we have equipped large parts of our house with green roofs. We are therefore not only climate-neutral, but also climate-positive. With your stay in our apartment, you are therefore opting for a sustainable vacation! For long-term stays of three weeks or more, the apartment is cleaned once a week by a cleaning company.
