This unique property was built in 1890 as a working-class residential barracks. One of the three apartments in the house is available for booking. The apartment has a kitchen and a room as well as a bathroom. The room has one single bed and a crib for a baby. No other guests allowed. Toys and games are available for younger guests, as well as a high chair and potty. Free parking space is in the courtyard of the house. The host lives in the same house with her cat in her own apartment, so help is close if needed. The space This 30 sqm studio has a living room, bathroom and separate kitchen. In the kitchen, basic supplies for dining and cooking. If something you need is missing, you can ask the hostess who lives in another apartment in the same house. I'll help you in any way I can. The bathroom has a toilet and shower. There's also a washing machine in the dressing room. The living room has one single bed and a crib for the baby The room has a smart TV. No wifi. In summer, there is also a patio area and a campfire area in the yard. The courtyard sauna can be booked for a separate fee. Guest access There is a parking spot in the yard. By car to the center of Helsinki in three quarters, in half an hour to the airport, and in 15 minutes to Hyvinkää, where there is a train station. The nearest bus station is about 800 meters away, which takes you to the center of Helsinki in about an hour. The bus service is handled by Korsisaari, where you can find schedules. You can access the apartment according to your own schedule. The code for the key safe will be sent the day before the cancellation period ends. Other things to note Heating and cooling In winter: The air heat pump is not the quietest. It's perfectly okay to turn it off. The radiators work well, but I use an air heat pump myself between residents to heat the space. In summer: The rooms have regular fabric curtains, not blackout curtains. The air heat pump can be used to cool the space in hot weather, but it hums quite loudly at times, despite regular maintenance and cleaning. Safety and recycling Safety: Each apartment has a fire blanket and a fire alarm. In addition, a foam extinguisher, a first aid kit and a second fire blanket can be found in the common corridor. Recycling: The apartment has containers for bio, plastic and mixed waste. Recycling bins for glass, metal and cardboard are also available in the hallway. In the old house, the doors are not wide enough, there is one step inside and a high threshold.
