Two Arbolitos Cottage

Relax and recharge at this unique and tranquil getaway. This well appointed cottage is tucked away on our park-like ranch in beautiful New Ulm Texas. Enjoy the star filled sky at night, or watch birds, deer, and grazing horses by day. A wall of windows overlooks the garden and orchard. Hike our well manicured trails throughout the wooded property. Bring your rod and reel and throw a line into the stocked pond from the fishing pier. Or sit at the fire pit at the water's edge. The space The main floor of the cottage has the great room (living room and kitchen), the main bedroom with a full sized bed, and a full bathroom. The loft upstairs has another two oversized twin beds. The kitchen has a full sized refrigerator, range and oven, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. Dishes, glasses, silverware, pots and pans are all provided. Also included are "continental" breakfast items, and coffee, creamer, sugar, bottled water, and basic condiments. The cottage has fiber optic Wifi internet, and the tv has local channels as well as Hulu and Netflix. If you decide not to cook meals, the little town of New Ulm is 15 minutes away, and there are two restaurants there, the Texas Star and Bel Tavolo. The Tasting Room at the Vine is a beautiful winery in New Ulm that also has fabulous brick oven pizzas. Columbus is 20 minutes away, and has several good restaurants and a fun brewery, the Hound Song Brewing Company. Guest access You will have the guest house to yourselves, tucked away toward the back of our 40 acre property. You are welcome to wander the wooded trails, go fishing in our two large ponds, play disc golf, and sit at the fire pit next to the water's edge. Other things to note In addition to the things to do here on the property, we are close to other fun things nearby! *Kayaking the Colorado River around the Columbus loop. Put in your kayak at Howell's livery, and exit 3 hours later at Beeson's park. (for a very nominal fee, Howell's will arrange transport at Beeson's) *Cycling the hills around New Ulm, Industry, and Fayetteville. Many organized rides occur here in the area *Weddings at local venues, including The Vine in New Ulm and Southern Oaks, Schneider Hall, and RO Manor in Columbus *Big Easy game ranch in Columbus *Pine Cove children's camp in Columbus *Columbus Zoo *Round Top Antiques Festivals (March and October) *Painted Churches tour Schulenberg TX *San Felipe de Austin Historical Park.
