A perfect getaway for nature lovers. This chalet sits on 10 acres of forest and a beautiful river. Take a kayak or canoe down the river in the summer. Snowshoe on a trail into the woods in the winter. Enjoy a BBQ and some drinks on our deck overlooking a beautiful view. This chalet sleeps up to 4 people. The space Our lovely rustic chalet was built by my father and I with love. It is an ideal place to gather with family and friends. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need to create your gastronomic masterpiece. A gorgeous panoramic view of the landscape can be enjoyed from the cozy living room couch or from the red Adirondack chairs on the outdoor deck. The deck is also a perfect spot for star lovers and for gazing out at the great beyond. Our chalet is a great launching pad for those wanting to explore the great outdoors in Quebec's Laurentian Mountains. Winter Activities. The trail behind the chalet leads to a beautiful forest where you can enjoy snowshoeing through the evergreen trees. A trail also leads up our mountain for more adventurous people. Ski lovers, La Réserve and Ski Garceau are both 20 minutes away. Also 20 minutes away, you can enjoy skating in the woods, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, sledding and much more at Parc des Pionniers in St-Donat. Summer Activities From our chalet, you can take a canoe or kayak ride on our beautiful winding river. Our canoe and kayak are available to you and equipped with paddles and life jackets. For a beach day, Parc des Pionniers is a great place to go to the beach for free. Mountain bike trails also start from the park's parking lot. There are hiking trails all within a 20-45 minute drive. The Liberator is one of our favorite hikes. Since the water is NOT drinkable, we provide two 18 litre jugs. Please bring more water containers if you are staying for an extended period. Other things to note In the summer, there is a fan in the main floor (black remote) and a shade (white remote) to control the heat in the summer. Leave the window open up top to let the air flow through the house. In the winter, to start the woodstove, make sure the flue is open and hold a lit paper near the vent inside the stove until the smoke gets pulled up the chimney. This will heat up the flue. Wifi and an Apple TV is available. 2 x 18 litre water jugs are provided for drinking water to use in the water dispenser. More can be purchased at grocery stores in St-Donat or St-Agathe if needed.
