You are steps away from witnessing the greatest sunsets along North Sandy Pond (across from Lake Ontario) when you stay at our relaxing, unique, and cozy A-frame - inspired by all things magical and earthy. Sit by the backyard fire, sip coffee by the electric fireplace, read a book in the bedroom nook, play board games, dance in the kitchen, and enjoy four seasons of nearby activities such as fishing, kayaking, boating, jet skiing, hiking, swimming, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing. The space Our Salem-inspired cottage is right around the corner from North Sandy Pond and gorgeous Lake Ontario. It is located on a quiet camp road with kind neighbors, surrounded by woods - where the beauty of all four seasons can be witnessed in your backyard. We have installed a privacy fence along both sides of the property for extra seclusion during your stay. The cottage sleeps 6 comfortably with a loft upstairs split into two rooms (with no door) and a foldable queen sofa bed upstairs that can be carried anywhere inside the cottage. We also have a queen air mattress available. There are 3 electric fireplaces to keep you extra cozy and warm. We have wifi at speeds of 130.9 Mbps for downloads and 11.0 Mbps for uploads. There are numerous books and games for added entertainment. We are fully stocked if you forget any toiletries or kitchen items. We have a complimentary coffee/tea bar with a variety of flavors and three ways to brew! Our cottage is dog friendly with an additional fee. Guest access Guests can park under the carport in the front of the property and/or on the side of the road in front of our property. Our guests have access to a private boat launch on North Sandy Pond that is a short .2 miles away. You can not leave your vehicle there but you can drive over to launch. If you need to leave a boat trailer there is a public boat launch with a parking area a mile down the road. There is a delicious BBQ place right down the road, and numerous beaches, hiking trails and kayak launches nearby. Olde Salem is close to snowmobile and ATV trails, the world-famous Salmon River, Salmon River Falls, and a half hour drive to either Watertown, Oswego or Syracuse. Other things to note Our property is located in a wooded area, so you may get visits from friendly wildlife such as mice, chipmunks, squirrels, etc. We have municipal drinking water that has won awards for taste! You can drink water straight from the faucet. Because we are on a private camp road and have friendly neighbors, please be respectful and mindful of your noise level. No parties allowed - but private events are allowed with approval beforehand. Dogs of any size are allowed, but unfortunately no other pets are allowed. Dog waste must be picked up and disposed of.
