Description
Come stay in our river cottage on the North Umpqua River! Rafting and swimming in the summer and steelhead fishing in the winter. Nicely appointed detached studio with full bathroom, kitchenette, queen bed, dining table, BBQ, and access to covered patio overlooking the river. Gateway to the Umpqua National Forest and Crater Lake National Park. Close to wineries in the Umpqua Valley. 25 minutes from Roseburg. 1.5 hours from Eugene Airport. The space Detached 300 sq ft studio cottage that shares the property with main residence. A couple things to note: - Absolutely no smoking in the cottage or anywhere on the property. - Cell phone service is spotty at best but we have WiFi which allows you to use WiFi Calling for texts/calls. - The cottage is not ADA accessible due to steps to enter the building. - Please note the floor in the cottage is slanted. Most people are good with it, but some folks have had issues with it. - Occasionally there are a few ants in the bathroom. We’ve done our best to control them, but it is the country. It hasn’t been an issue for most guests. Private river access down a staircase to an open gravel bar which is great for fishing, swimming, and relaxing. The North Umpqua River can be very dangerous even during summer months, so guests need to adhere to safe river practices. The cottage offers river views and the backyard is an open oak woodland with plenty of room to play. In addition to the listed two guest limit, up to two young children are welcome to stay. Just let us know and we’ll put an air mattress in the cottage to accommodate them. We have a friendly dog named Juniper on the property, so keeping gates closed while you're here is important. Located on the traditional homelands of the Yoncalla Kalapuya, Southern Molalla, and Upper Umpqua peoples. Guest access One parking spot for guests in the driveway of a fenced and gated property. Additional parking on the street. Guests walk through the open carport to the cottage in the back of the property. The property is on a quiet cul-de-sac and is a great place to go on walks or bike rides. Other things to note Our river cottage is a great launching pad for an array of outdoor recreation opportunities. We are avid outdoors people and can offer suggestions and trail intel! Here are a few highlights: - Steelhead fishing and rafting out your back door! - Mountain biking, trail running, and hiking on the North Umpqua Trail (30 minutes away) - A multitude of waterfall hikes on the Umpqua National Forest (30-60 minutes away) - Crater Lake National Park (1 hour 45 minutes away) - North Bank Ranch (BLM land with miles of trails minutes from the cottage - 5 minutes away) - Oregon Coast (1.5 hours away) We look forward to hosting you!
