Gnome Sweet Gnome - Farm Stay
Description
Farm stay. Unique and tranquil getaway. About a mile from interstate 5 for easy access to Vancouver and Portland. You get the best of all worlds with one foot in the city for easy access to restaurants, book stores, and internet. The other foot is in the country where you’ll find animals, vineyards, hiking trails, water falls, swimming, and kayaking…vintage stores… We are a working farm with chickens, ducks, a handful of quirky turkeys and 3 cows. The space You can experience chicks and ducklings hatching, help collect eggs, and pet a turkey who will follow you like a puppy. Guest access Our kitchen is shared, but it’s available for your use. We have a coffee station for guests, and a bbq available for your use on the amazing wrap around deck. There’s also several fire pits where guests can settle in to enjoy star lit skies, croaking toads and surround sound crickets. During your stay Hi, My husband, Steve, and I, Suzanne, are your hosts. We enjoy getting to know our guests over a cup of tea or coffee or sitting out at the barrel fire pit sipping wine. If you prefer privacy, we will give you the “nickel tour” and allow you as much privacy as you desire. Steve is a fantastic resource for large and small outdoor adventures including hikes, waterfalls, geology or kayaking… We’re happy to share info re our favorite restaurants, vintage shops, or used book stores… We aim to please & hope to make your stay memorable! For couples (or singles for that matter), we call the outside sitting bench “date night.” The bench is perfectly situated for sunsets, moon rises, and star gazing. We serve ice cream on summer nights or hot chocolate (or both) for “date night” at the bench… If you’re game, to pet a quirky turkey 🦃 you’ve come to the right place. Our turkeys are very gentle and act more like shy puppies wanting to be petted. Other things to note For anyone with mobility concerns, the room is accessible meaning access is possible without stairs. Please ask. Wheelchair access is possible, but with the qualifier that the bathroom door is too narrow to accommodate a wheelchair.
