Welcome to our log cabin on beautiful Frye Island! Relax with the whole family at this pet friendly peaceful retreat away from crowds. We offer lots of privacy with 3 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. Savor your morning coffee relaxing in rocking chairs on the covered front porch or cookout on the grill and enjoy your dinner on the back deck. We can't wait to welcome you to our home away from home and for your family to enjoy Maine - The way life should be! You will have the entire newly decorated cabin to yourself. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable (stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, mini-Keurig, blender, dishes, pots and pans, utensils, etc.). The cabin is very private with only a few neighbors and a quick 2-minute drive to the closest beach where you can swim during the day or watch the amazing sunsets in the evening. The cabin also has WIFI so staying connected is possible when you need to. There is a 50" tv with an Amazon 4K Fire Stick for streaming on rainy days or use the antenna to catch the local news and weather. We are pet friendly for a well behaved dog of any size (inquire for other specific requests). Enjoy all that Frye Island has to offer with 12 public beaches, a 9 hole golf course with driving range, general store, restaurant, marina, tennis courts, hiking trails, community pool, playground, basketball court, ice cream shop and community center. Always available via cell phone. Quiet, private road. Very few neighbors. Once at the ferry terminal, you will drive onto a 9 vehicle ferry and enjoy a short 7 minute ride over to the island. In peak season, they run two ferries every 15 minutes. There may be times when only one ferry is available so plan accordingly. I will email you a ferry schedule once booked. Plan on bringing all your groceries and needs with you from the mainland. The island has a small store for emergencies but shopping on the mainland first is necessary. The island consists of only dirt roads that most people get around on golf carts. Please respect the speed limit when driving around the island in your vehicle. Please inquire about renting a golf cart (for an add'l fee, not associated with the cabin booking) as I have access to "Big Red" on a first come-first serve basis. There are a bunch of hiking trails and walking paths throughout the island to enjoy. Also bring bicycles and water toys if you’d like to utilize them while enjoying your stay. We have a kayak with a paddle available for use with one adult large life jacket. The kayak is stored at one of the beaches for ease of use. Please bring your own life jacket if a different size is needed. Guests will need to bring their own towels (bath and beach). Other linens (sheets, blankets, pillows, kitchen towels, etc.) will be provided and all the beds will be fully made upon your arrival. We recommend stocking up on groceries from the mainland before coming over on the ferry. The island has a small store and restaurant but be prepared to bring most supplies with you. The cabin will only have basic consumable needs (salt, pepper, coffee filters, cooking oil, starter paper towels, starter toilet paper, etc). A compact washer and dryer is available for small and occasional loads of laundry. We ask that it is only used infrequently due to a sensitive septic system. Please bring your preferred detergent. During peak season: Check in/out days are Saturday to Saturday only due to cleaning companies availability. We can't wait to host you in our beautiful cabin on Frye Island! Golf cart - there is availability to rent a four seat golf cart from an island friend. It is first-come, first-serve and reservations are made directly with her.
