We invite you to spend a little time enjoying the simple things in life. The Tillerman is restored and re-imagined from its 1785 bones. We embrace the quirks, character and eccentricities of this old beautiful building and we hope you do, too. Think fire places, wood burning oven, linen duvets, hardwood floors with vintage rugs, organic mattresses, french press coffee and the sound of the creek. The Tillerman is the ultimate cozy getaway. We have a feeling you will love it here! THE ROOM This room is called North Country. It is a spacious room with big windows and two separate rooms that are connected with no door in between. The second room with king bed is tucked around the corner with enough privacy and space for everyone. As you walk in, you'll find two built-in twin beds under the slanted ceiling. A cozy nook for kids (or adults!). This first room also has a seating area, a desk and closet. Down the steps, you'll walk right into the bathroom with tub and shower. The king room with gas burning fireplace is located next to the bathroom. The room looks out on the barn and front patio. AMENITIES Our mattresses are from Saatva (they are handcrafted from organic cotton and incredibly comfortable!), organic cotton sheets and towels from Brooklinen and bath products from Ursa Major. We have delicious local coffee and tea available for guests in our parlor. Each room has its own mini fridge, a hair dryer and clothing steamer. SHARED SPACES The Parlor is the room with a one-of-a-kind 16-foot-long farm table, and seating area by the fireplace where guests can hang out, read a book, play a board game, ... THE RESTAURANT We have a restaurant downstairs that is open Wednesday-Saturday, we'd love to have you for dinner! We recommend making a reservation beforehand. Reservations can be made online or over the phone. Come join us at The Tillerman this summer! We (Kate & Jason and our staff) are here to help you out with anything you need. Our house is on the property, just a stones throw away from the inn and you can always find us working in or around the inn. Wednesdays through Saturdays, our restaurant is open from 4:30 - 8pm. You're welcome to have a glass of wine by the fire or to taste our delicious food! All ingredients are seasonal and local. The Tillerman is nestled just outside the quaint town of Bristol, Vermont. Our historic 18th-century town is remarkably vibrant and lined with cute shops, restaurants, a coffee shop, brewery, art studios, charming houses and so much more. Bristol is known for its warmth and unbeatable hospitality as well as being the gateway to the Green Mountains. Surrounded by lush woodlands and meandering creeks, the Bristol area is the ultimate natural playground. Dip your toes into the crisp waters at Bristol Falls, a beautiful 14 foot waterfall, just a stone's throw from our property. Enjoy the spectacular views on your mountain or road bike or on foot at one of the many trail heads in the area. You can hit the links with your crew for a round of golf, whatever your activity, we've got you covered. Countless farm stands, local breweries, apple and berry picking, made-in- Vermont products, when it comes to things to do in the area, you'll have no problem filling your days! 25 min to Middlebury 35 min to Burlington SKIING * Mad River Glen 20min * Sugarbush 30min * Middlebury Snowbowl 37min * Rikert Outdoor Center 33 min * Blueberry Hill Outdoor Center 40min * Stowe Mountain Resort 1h8min We are located on North Route 116 in Bristol (*not Starksboro*).
