Welcome to Peaceful Waters. This private waterfront cottage is located in a quiet rural neighbourhood on Fawn Lake. The area features swimming, hiking, biking, golfing, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. Port Sydney has a general store, play ground, a beach volleyball court, a large public beach, a waterfall and view of Lake Mary. There is a supermarket/LCBO, gas station, and a hardware store conveniently located 5km away. Huntsville is a short 20 minute drive. The space Our spacious, waterfront and newly renovated cottage features a private shallow sandy beach on Fawn Lake, perfect for families. Fishing, kayaking, swimming are just some of activities you can do from our property. Our amenities includes A/C, stove-fireplace, washer-dryer, a big screen tv, wireless internet access, stocked kitchen, bbq and a large deck with patio furniture. The cottage features a large yard that ends in a 100 ft waterfront with a shallow sandy beach and dock. Guest access Guests have exclusive access to the entire cottage, including the deck, yard and waterfront with self check-in. Port Sydney is a 10 min drive, and has a general store. Best to pickup groceries on your way north in Bracebridge, which is 20 minutes from the cottage. Huntsville is 20 minute to the North with great views, fine restaurants and shopping. Hidden Valley ski resort is about 30 minutes away, that has fun activities all year around. Other things to note We have fast WiFI Internet using Starlink which works for streaming video, browsing, email/chat and occasional audio/video calls. There may be short interruptions due the satellite nature of the service. Stream your favourite movies from your own device and cast to the large screen tv or use the smart tv remote to select from some available video services. An air conditioning unit is available in the living room area that cool the whole home with the doors open. Bedrooms have a ceiling fans and electric heating. There are also some DVDs, board games and books. We have a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook and a bbq outside with extra propane tanks. Other things to note: We are pleased to welcome your pets (max 2) to enjoy the cottage. An additional cleaning fee of $150 (per stay) will be applied to cover the supplementary cost of cleaning following checkout. This charge does not apply to guide dogs. Guests must clean up after their pets on the property and in the neighbourhood. Water safety: Stay safe around water features on the property. Children should be supervised at all times. By booking your stay with us, you acknowledge and assume all risks associated with water activities, including but not limited to sprains, slips, falls, and physical injuries. You release the property management company, co-hosts, and homeowners from any liability, including financial responsibility, for injuries that may occur on the property. Your participation in these activities is voluntary, and you confirm that you are aware of the risks and have no conditions that may increase your risk of injury.
