20 minutes from downtown Louisville, expansive Ohio River view from lovely spacious waterfront home where your whole group can be comfortable during Derby festivities. The space Spacious 3200 square foot sparkling clean Ohio riverfront home in upscale area just off major Louisville highway. Gorgeous sweeping view of wooded hills of Charlestown State Park beyond the river. Large open concept area and generous deck overlooking the Ohio River, plenty of space for your whole group to mingle, yet ample space to spread out for solitary time. Enjoy housewide wifi and large screen tv in living area, comfy sectional with 4 recliners, TV in every bedroom. Common area has a wall of glass with 3 doors opening onto deck, sunken living room, large fully-equipped kitchen, riverview dining room with seating for 8 (small table and chairs can be set up to create table for 10) plus seating for 4 at the kitchen island, cozy fireplace with electric logs. Four beautifully-decorated bedrooms all have queen beds. one also has a daybed with trundle, one has a futon, and a double-high aerobed is available upon request. All bathrooms have showers, one has a shower/tub combo. All have liquid soap, shampoo, hair dryers, toilet paper, and fresh towels. The yard has ample space for setting up games. Cornhole, giant Jenga, giant Connect Four, indoor Shuffleboard, foosball, and multiple board games/cards are included in rental. There is garage parking for 2 cars and driveway parking for 3 additional cars. (No street parking is allowed.) This is a peaceful, get-away-from-it-all place to grill out on the deck as the evening sun sparkles across the water, or relax with a drink and a good book down on the dock where you may spot a blue heron or hear the evening call of the loon. The dock has a kayak launch pad (bring your own kayaks). You are welcome to tie your boat in the slip at the dock. Camp Husky is within easy driving distance of multiple distilleries and breweries, two golf courses, 20 minutes to Waterfront Park with a walking bridge and playgrounds, 20 minutes from downtown Louisville's YUM Stadium, the Belle of Louisville, Science Mmuseum, Falls of the Ohio, Kentucky Center For the Arts, Louisville Slugger Museum, Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, Churchill Downs, the Louisville Zoo and Splash Park, Shelby Trails and Woodlawn Riding Center, and the Parklands of Floyd's Fork where canoes, kayaks, and bicycles can be rented. Up for a day trip? Rockin'River Tours is an hour away. Mammoth Cave National Park and Noah's Ark Encounter are 90 minutes away. Zip-lining at spectacular Red River Gorge is two hours away. We are 3 miles from a major grocery and quite a few restaurants including Blackstone Grill, Captain's Quarters, Gustavo's, Cunningham's, and several fast food restaurants. We are 9 miles from a large movie theater and major shopping centers. You are welcome to park in the 2-car garage, which opens from outside with a code you will receive and from inside at the kitchen/garage door. There are 3 additional driveway parking spaces. You have access to our private riverfront dock, and are welcome to tie your boat there or bring kayaks to launch from the dock.
