We bought this home pre-2000's and lived in one side and rented out the other as a young couple. When we had our children, we moved to a more kid friendly area to raise our family. Your cozy salon awaits you, as soon as you enter the home, as well as your dining room with mobile entertainment center, eat in kitchen, a hidden office nook overlooking the backyard that is home to many Starlings, and on the second floor your ultra comfy beds and Alice in Wonderland Bathroom experience and tucked away beyond that, a serene space for a Meditation Room for mindfulness, reflection, stretching, or just looking out into the trees. This Pied-à-terre is historic home in a historic district. If you are looking for a box in the sky, of minimal, new construction, 450 sq ft., then this is not the residence for you. This is 2 floors and 1450 sq ft. of magic and mystery and quirks and 100 years of things to consider. The location is premier and the amenities as well. But you need to come to this space with an appreciation for what it is. Also, the stairs have the usual creaks of the an old home and some noise does travel though the wall that separates the two apt. But otherwise very quiet space. Reviews impact our livelihood. Leaving anything less than five stars means that you were not fully satisfied with your stay. That is how airbnb operates. There are major repercussions to this over time for us when this does not happen. If you have an issue, we ask that you give us the opportunity to remedy anything. But we also ask that you walk into this space with the appropriate expectations so that you can honor and truly appreciate it. Guest access You have an entire two story apt. all to yourself. Bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs, and you have a living room, dining room, and eat in kitchen downstairs as well as a front porch and backyard with some seating areas. Lots of light, lots of room to move, even a mediation room tucked away upstairs. This is the number one neighborhood in Columbus and you are only ten minutes from everything. From all the walkable attractions and dining and cafe options to quirky boutiques and stores, to the sprawling city park full of gargantuan suspended art to the duck filled picturesque pond and small hidden fountain of the girl with the umbrella at Schiller Park to the short hop onto High Street to downtown, the Brewery District, the Convention Center, The Short North, OSU Campus, and glorious Clintonville, you are in Columbus's top rated neighborhoods, German Village. Also, if you want to bring more than two guests then you can must pay the extra fee of $50 per each night. Same for pets. This covers the additional cost of cleaning, linens, towels, etc. It is implied that two guests will only be using ONE bedroom. Please let us know if that is not the case. ONLY REGISTERED GUESTS ARE PERMITTED ON THE PROPERTY. IF ADDITIONAL GUESTS ARE ON THE PROPERTY YOU WILL BE CHARGED THE ADDITIONAL RATES. SAME FOR PETS. Other things to note Your home is in German Village. Two blocks from popular Schiller park! You are also on a one way street so less traffic. Lots of green space around you, five miles to the nearest hospitals and five minutes to downtown and all major highways. Uber or Lyft to stadiums are under 20 bucks. Also, if you want to bring more than two guests then you can pay the extra fee of $50 for extra guests per night. Same for pets. The entire interior of the home was remodeled from top to bottom in 2022. Everything is new. Some things to note that I sadly have to add here due to guest experiences: - THE COUCHES ARE NOT FOR SLEEPING. If you have four guests, then be prepared to sleep 2 in one of the bedrooms and the other 2 in the other bedroom. Couches are not for people to use as beds as there is no way to sanitize them since they are not pull out beds and don't have sheets. - FOOD AND TOILETRIES AND OTHER HOME ITEMS ARE FOR YOU TO USE DURING YOUR STAY AND NOT TO TAKE WITH YOU. I am sad that I actually have to write this. Please leave any perishables in the fridge for us to dispose of properly and not leave them in the trash. - PLEASE PLACE USED TOWELS IN THE LAUNDRY BASKET. Or on the hooks in the bathroom. Please do not leave them on the floor in the bedrooms. Also, leave unused towels where you found them to save resources. - PLEASE DO NOT UNPLUG THINGS UNLESS YOU PUT THEM BACK IN THEIR OUTLET. So you need to charge while sitting on the couch instead of all the other open outlets everywhere? Fine. Just be sure to plug the things you took out, back in. - DO NOT GO IN THE BASEMENT. Or attempt to. It is for utility only. Registration Details Exempt
