This mountain oasis is nested among trees and wildlife on three acres. Less than 20 minutes from Government Camp, the Mountain House makes an excellent home base for adventures and offers respite from the normal busyness of life. It is especially well suited for families looking to connect and spend time together. Enjoy the balance of luxury amenities and relaxed charm with down bedding, luxury towels and linens, heated floors, and a lodge-like great room with wood burning fireplace. Two bedrooms are outfitted with king-sized beds and the third has a queen bed with a full on top. All beds are outfitted with high-quality mattresses and linens, of course, because late mornings are the best. The primary bedroom is situated on the uppermost part of the house and has an ensuite bathroom with an oversized shower with dual shower heads, dual vanities, and heated tile floors. The second king bedroom and the queen/full bunk room are downstairs with a shared bathroom. The tile floor outside these bedrooms and in front of the entry door has heated tile floors as well so your toes are always comfortable, no matter how chilly it is outside. The main floor is actually the second floor, which provides the best views. There you have a large great room, dining room, kitchen, and half bath, as well as a deck overlooking the forest just off the great room. This super magical place is on a hill in the snow zone of Mt Hood. During winter months, please note that you may need traction devices for your tires to make it safely to the house, including up a long, somewhat steep driveway. While the view from all windows in the house is of trees and forest, the house is just up a hill from the Three Nines Golf Course and a short drive off HWY 26. You have the best of both worlds here: the feeling of seclusion and immersion in nature while actually being quite close to amenities in Welches. There is parking for three cars by the house: one in front of the garage and two in front of the house. We have plenty of blankets to cozy up with and several games for those who want to stay in. The house comes with access YouTube TV and a Chromecast so you can cast any of your favorite apps or movies right from your phone without having to log in (or remember to log out before you leave!). Please note that we allow up to eight guests, but a maximum of six adults will fit comfortably (two per king or queen). Beyond that and you'll be pretty cramped. The full bunk bed is best for responsible youths or small adults. Our additional fee for more than 6 guests is waved for guests under 16. Please enquire and we can adjust the price!
