Lovely spacious 1 bedroom in northern Manhattan
Lovely spacious 1 bedroom in northern Manhattan
Description
Experience NYC from the charming neighborhood of Inwood at northern tip of Manhattan with parks, river fronts & vibrant street culture from sidewalk vendors to festive music in fair weather. Apt is spacious, sunny & cozy, ideal for a family. Neighbors are majority Caribbean people w/ wide variety of restaurants including Dominican, Ecuadorian, Thai, Malaysian, bagels, Chinese, NYC pizza (of course!) and more. Two short blocks from subway & bus, right across street from laundry. The space The unit is on the 4th floor of an elegant, clean and quiet building w/ an elevator & laundromat across the street. Apartment has windows facing three different directions yet none face the street. This means that even though warmer weather brings many more people out to enjoy the air, socialize and play music after being cooped up all winter, the apartment remains pretty quiet - with the exception of the noise of playing schoolchildren during recess at the school next door to the building. Views of the sky and sunlight. Eat in kitchen with everything you will need to cook & enjoy your food. Living room with comfy couches, smart TV , books for adults & kids, and children’s toys. Comfortable bedroom with workspace and extra sleep space (double bed & full size comfortable futon). Full bathroom. Pets welcome. This is a residential building with families and working people so we kindly ask that you please respect quiet hours between 9pm and 9am. Guest access The entire apartment is all yours! It is quite spacious for a one-bedroom. I live in the apartment when it is not booked, so some of my belongings are in the unit. There are two closets and an empty dresser available for your use. Other things to note Northern Manhattan is a multi-racial, largely working class urban area. Inwood runs from about 190th Street to 225th Street- it will take you 30-45 minutes on public transit from where we are (close to Dyckman Street & Broadway) to travel to Midtown/ 59th Street area. The table fits four - or six with the leaf inserted. The keyboard instrument pictured is an electric organ, not a piano. Some features don’t currently work, but you are free to play it!
