Daily continental breakfast is offered in the main dining room. The space The McClain Suite is named for the very special friend who first suggested making this space available on Airbnb. The double bed is quite new and has a medium-firm, memory foam mattress with luxurious linens including new, hypoallergenic, down-alternative pillows and comforter. The bedroom features both antique and new furnishings. There is a flat-screen, Roku smart TV, workspace with ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity and many outlets. The antique armoire and dresser provide considerable space for clothing, and holds extra blankets and pillows. The room includes a private, fresh and clean bathroom with plentiful fluffy towels. It is stocked with high end shampoo, conditioner, premium bath gel, custom handmade bar soap, a blow dryer, and many items you may have forgotten to pack. COVID cleaning protocols and safety measures are followed. The suite also has its own high quality air-purifier. The suite also includes a kitchenette area with microwave, toaster oven (no stove), coffee maker, refrigerator/freezer, sink, and washer and dryer. It is well stocked with dishware including plates, bowls, mugs, drinking glasses (wine glasses, too), silverware, cookware, utensils, and storage containers. You'll find coffee, tea, and spices in the cupboards. There is not a dishwasher, but there is dish soap, drying rack, and clean dish towels. THERE IS AN ANOTHER ROOM WITH A TWIN BED AND PLENTIFUL DESK SPACE THAT MAY BE ADDED ON TO YOUR RENTAL FOR AN ADDITIONAL $45 PER NIGHT. This room is not available to book without the main bedroom, bathroom, and kitchenette. You will find many books and games on the shelves. Guests are welcome to use the public spaces on the upper level including the living room, screen porch, deck, and backyard. You are welcome to enjoy continental breakfast each morning in the main dining room. Guest access The McClain Guest Suite is accessible by the front door on the upper floor. You will be assigned a unique code for the keyless front door entry lock. My house is built into a hill, with the McClain Suite and garage at ground level (for easy egress), however, I prefer guests use the front door to come and go. I sometimes need to access the lower level where the McClain Suite is located for pantry items and cleaning products, to do laundry, or to access the garage. I try very hard not to do so when guests are present and respect your desire for complete privacy. Guests are welcome to use the living room, dining room, screen porch, deck, and back yard. During your stay I am available to offer whatever help or suggestions you need during your stay. I often work from my home office. You are welcome to join me in the living room to watch TV or chat, or on the screen porch or deck if I am outside. If you would rather keep to yourself, I am happy to go to my room or another part of the property. If there are other guests who wish to use shared/public spaces, you may decide for yourself whether you wish to share or go to another room or seating area on the screen porch or outdoors. Other things to note Please note: The listed CLEANING FEE OF $25 IS CALCULATED PER WEEK. If your stay will be longer than one week, I will adjust your fees accordingly. I will arrange with you a convenient time to change your bed linens each week. If I am out and unable to greet you upon your arrival, you will be able to let yourself in.
