The Bowers House Creative Retreat and Inn

The Bowers House is an historic 100 year old family home place and creative retreat and vacation place in a 1920s village located 20 minutes from Clemson and Athens, and about 90 minutes from Atlanta. The home accommodates up to 12 with shared accommodations (6BR/3BA). Rental periods are from two days to one month. Guests who would like to rent the entire home allow us to continue to provide resident artist retreats with a place to create and share their work. 6BR/3BA The space Approximately 2500 SF 100 year old restored home on the historic register with modern conveniences and slow internet within walking distance to pastures forests and meadows. Whole house rental includes a very large living room, 12 person dining room, eat in large kitchen, wraparound porches, covered parking for two cars, and 6BR/3BA. Owner is onsite with separate quarters, and can arrange meal service, catering or special tours and outings. Guest access An automobile is required for groceries and goods in Royston, Lavonia or Hartwell, Georgia approximately ten minutes in each direction from The Bowers House, which lies on the central block of the town or Canon. Victorial Bryant State Park and Lake Hartwell are ten minutes away. There is a family Dollar, a liquior store and a gas station in town, and Souther Origins Mead and Honey Company serves guests during certain daytime hours.
