This home, dating back to the 1880s, is in the heart of the Historic District of Virginia City, NV. At roughly 900 sq. ft., it has all the character of a 150-year-old home with today’s modern amenities for a comfortable getaway. Tucked away on a quiet hillside, it's easy to forget that you are mere steps from shops, restaurants, and year-round festivities and events and minutes away from exploring Nevada's high desert landscape. You will feel right at “home on The Comstock” in this cozy cottage. The B Street Boardinghouse, as we call it, is a cozy cottage in the heart of historic downtown Virginia City. Cook a few meals in the small, but open concept kitchenette. The cupboards are stocked with brand new cookware, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc. (Although there is a hot plate, toaster oven, and microwave there is no stove/oven). It's easy to relax with your morning coffee or evening glass of vino in the fresh mountain air on the quaint patio, equipped with a table, 4 chairs, and an umbrella for shade during those sunny afternoons. It's also a perfect place for “people watching” and poaching live music from the Red Dog Saloon down the road. You can get a good night's sleep in either bedroom, both furnished with a queen-sized bed, new memory foam mattresses, and luxury sheets. We hope you can enjoy some lazy mornings with the black-out shades provided and a good book or the Smart TV if you prefer to catch up on new episodes of your favorite shows. Treat yourself to a hot shower in our brand-new bathrooms. We will always provide fresh towels and linens, a blow dryer, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and more! After a long day of sightseeing, you can unwind on the sofa and watch a movie, or enjoy the Virginia City nightlife and the cute local hotspots just a quick walk from the front door! We are ideally situated in the heart of gold and silver country, surrounded by an abundance of history, railroads, mines, Historic Nevada sites, and just a short drive to Reno and Lake Tahoe. In sunshine or snowfall, there is always a good time waiting for you in Virginia City! It has two bedrooms with two comfy queen beds and two private bathrooms. The living room area has a large couch, a Smart TV, a kitchenette, and a small office area (just in case you need it). It is essentially like two hotel rooms plus the common areas and private parking. Everything is within walking distance - food, drinks, entertainment, history, off-road driving, and hiking. The home is 30 minutes to Reno/RNO, 20 minutes to Carson City, 45 minutes to the Mt. Rose ski area, and 1 hour to Lake Tahoe. Virginia City is a fun town for a weekend getaway.
