Go all the way to the back if you want primitive. Come and "rough it" with us in southeast Texas, Plantersville, TX farm and ranch country. 40 minutes Northwest of the Greater Houston area. We post there what live music we will be having around the main camp fire ring under the stars in The Courtyard monthly on Second Saturday nights, complimentary for our guests. And post pics from your stay! We are 7 miles from the infamous Texas Renaissance Festival, and there are vineyards nearby with live music. Come have some fun! RV's must remain in The Courtyard area and are not allowed into The Woods. Fire rings are available and can be easily grabbed and moved to your camping spot. Other tent campers and small RV's may be in the vicinity as well but plenty of room to spread out. 1 tent or RV per site, 1-2 vehicles per site, up to 6 people per site. There is overflow guest parking in another area. An outdoor shower house with hot and cold water is available. A port-a-potty and potable water from hose is on-site. And don't miss our cowboy pool for your enjoyment! There is electric on-site so guests can charge phones and other important items. Fiber wifi is available throughout the Courtyard as well. (Not so "primitive", haaaa.) We love dogs. They are family! Absolutely bring them with you, just be sure to keep them leashed or on a tie out, and pick up after them. Plenty of shade. We are surrounded by farms and ranches. It's authentic country... And because of that, FYI, you may hear birds and squirrels in the treetops, or a farm dog or cow... or a coyote, or a train in the distance (the famous Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway which has been running through Plantersville since the 1800's, but thankfully not near the camp). On separate listings, additional camping is available for both tent and RV camping (dry) with electric hook-ups, as well as glamp tents, cabins and vintage RV's. Into stargazing?
