Water Front Cottage in Houma

Completely renovated in 2016, this 100 year old Cajun Cypress house is located on the Intracoastal Waterway in historic downtown Houma. Walking distance to the park/marina and restaurants. Enjoy sitting on the back porch or deck overlooking the water while watching the many different types of boat traffic go by. The views are awesome! If you want an idea of how Louisiana must have been in years gone by, this is it! Pets have to be approved by me $150 pet fee is added if approved. The space When you walk into this Cajun Cottage, you will be welcomed with the original wood floors and bead board ceilings. It feels like you’ve stepped back in time. We have an old crank record player “that works” along with the convenience of the modern things needed. We provide high speed internet. A Keurig and traditional coffee maker. The Cottage is 1 bedroom & 1 bathroom, with a queen bed and a sofa bed in the living room. There is a 1/2 bath in the bar area outside that can be used. (However bar can’t be used for overnight guest)We do have a Charcoal BBQ pit. (Charcoal not provided) Once you arrive, you’ll not want to leave. You’ll definitely be planning your next trip before you check out. Events, parties, family gatherings, crawfish boils are only allowed with prior permission. Pricing is different for parties. Please message your request to me. You have to ask permission for any type of pet. There will be an extra fee if I allow the pet. Information when bringing your Dog! Do Not allow your dog to get on any of the furniture in the home. (You will be charged an extra $150 fee if pet hair is on furniture) Your dog must be in a kennel when you are not at the Cottage. Do not leave your dog unattended in the backyard or on the deck. Neither place is Secure and your dog will escape. Your side of the deck is connected to the house next-door, which is another rental while we love our fur family other people may not. We ask that when you bring your dog outside you put it on a leash. Pick up all poo from your dog. Guest access The bar area isn’t for use for a nightly rental. You will have access to the rest property, but you cannot remove any of the items out of the bar area. Please do not use round table and chairs. You are renting this location as a nightly rental. If you want to have a party or gathering. You will need to make prior arrangements with the owner. Pricing is different. Information when bringing your Dog!
