Very large sunny room, full-sized bed, on the second floor in the front of the house, with hallway kitchenette with some snacks and breakfast items provided. Bathroom is new and shared with up to 2 other guest rooms. Please note the shared bathroom, no shoes, no smoking, NO strong perfumes or colognes (most shampoos w/light scent ok), closing & locking doors carefully & keeping volume fairly low); please make sure that feels OK. No worries about late arrivals. The space Upstairs room. Shared bathroom & kitchenette. Enjoy sunny front porch. Near Press Bay Alley on the edge of The Commons, a short walk to coffee, tacos, circus school, Woodpepper Bread, Diamond’s Indian restaurant, and numerous restaurants, bars and shops. Easy TCAT bus from Green or 35-min. walk to Cornell. Enjoyable stroll with a view, after a day at Cornell. Guest access You can make your own coffee or breakfast in the kitchenette. Provided coffee, teas, oatmeal packets and breakfast bars, and a few savory snacks, for short-term guests. There is an induction hot plate and small electric appliances. The microwave does roasting and air frying, too. During your stay I love to meet guests, but for your and my ease with guests comings and goings, I provide door codes for the front door. Travelers are often not able to predict their arrival times, so we don't have to meet with keys etc. However, it's helpful for me as the host to know your best guess at arrival time so that the room and house can be ready. And to know departure times so that I can plan for cleaning. Other things to note It's helpful to know your expected arrival time so that I can plan for cleaning and other preparations. This room shares a bathroom and kitchenette with other guests. To signal that the bathroom is available, please leave the bathroom door open when not in use. Please do not allow water to sit on the wood floor. Please let me, the host, know if you have any concerns about sound, the heat, the AC, the windows. Window AC units are put in seasonally, and the heat is quiet, hot water radiators. The space is usually warm enough in winter, but if you need additional warmth, there are small space heaters available. and I can turn up the central radiant heat. There are also fans available and air purifiers. Most shampoos and soaps have some minimal scent, but please do not use any perfume or cologne in the house. I am not that chemically sensitive and sometimes the smell has been overwhelming and hard to clear. I realize everyone is different in terms of preference. No pets, please. I am allergic except to my own pet and have protocols for her, and she is not permitted upstairs and there is no central air or forced air heat (radiators instead) traveling from my space upstairs. I want this to be a quiet, safe and clean space for others who are allergic. Please, no smoking of anything, even on the porch. Please let me know if you have any needs or questions.
