Spend leisurely evenings watching the sunset from the porch, luxuriate in slow mornings wrapped in the coziness of the bedroom. Close enough to the city but far enough to offer peace & quiet, it's a great home base from which to explore everything the Seattle area has to offer - from West Seattle's great restaurants to the wilderness beyond. The space Every space of this home has a different personality. The living room is fun & funky, a collection of inspiring colors & treasures; overhead, retreat to a compact loft space evoking an exotic lounge a la Marrakech. The bright & cheerful kitchen puts some pep in your step as you prepare your morning coffee or tea. Find a tranquil ode to the moody beauty of the Pacific Northwest in the bedroom. The chic & glamorous bathroom draws inspiration from the art deco grande dame hotels of New York City. The star of the show is the invitingly bohemian porch, perfect for long evenings watching the sun set over the ridge of West Seattle & the Olympics. The spacious, fully-fenced yard offers plenty of space to hang out - Adirondack chairs around a firepit, a hammock, and a patio out back. The nuts & bolts: - There is off-street, uncovered parking behind the house, accessible via the alleyway. - Laundry facilities are available upon request. - The kitchen has all the basic appliances, just pared down for efficiency: a single-burner induction cooktop, microwave, and compact convection oven. - Large walk-in closet plus additional storage available for longer stays. *A note on the yard, especially during the summer: we’ve been experiencing the effects of climate change with hotter and hotter summers, and grass has been getting scorched as a result (like you see in the listing photos, taken late-August). To be mindful of resource usage (Airbnbs use a lot of water already!) I do not water the lawn, am transitioning to a more sustainable clover lawn, and let the lawn grow out to promote drought tolerance and attract pollinators.
