Approved by New York City as a legal short-term rental, ideal for couples, small families, a solo getaway, or business travel. Set in the beautiful and convenient Park Slope neighborhood, we're steps away from restaurants, bars, shops, and incredible Prospect Park! Subway nearby to get anywhere in NYC. The space Spacious and fully furnished, our guests enjoy their own entrance with a private bedroom, full bathroom, and lounging/dining area. This space has a TON of natural light if you want it (i.e. when you have the shades up). It is perfect for couples and small families visiting with friends and family in the area, as well as individuals in town for work. We love guests who take great care and fully enjoy their time! Our space is ideal for two guests (or one), though we have the flexibility to meet your larger group's needs, too. Please message me directly with any questions about the space, dates, number of guests, etc., and we should be able to accomodate you! The garden-level entry area and hall space are SHARED. We do occasionally (albeit very rarely) need access to some utilities on this level, such as the home's electric and gas meters. However, we aim to avoid and limit our use during your stay. It's very important to us that our guests have their privacy! High-speed internet and a large table provide an excellent workspace, while many toys, games, puzzles, and other gear for children to play with or use are available upon request. There are tons of great books and magazines for reading. There is plenty of SPACE to move around freely and with ease! Two large flat-screen smart TVs are available for your pleasure and convenience - one in the living space for lounging and another in the bedroom to enjoy a movie or streaming from the comfort of your bed! **Many of our guests have said that the bed is one of the most comfortable nights' sleep they've ever had - please see our reviews for yourself!** IMPORTANT: we have a strict no-smoking policy both inside our home as well as the immediate outdoor vicinity - thank you in advance for respecting this policy!! Guest access Guests use the ground level of our home, which includes its own fully stocked kitchen and dining area that may double as a desk, a reading corner, streaming on two large flat-screen televisions, very comfortable furniture, pleasant surroundings, and space to stretch and enjoy! Guests have their own private entry into our ground level, which is easy and seamless! Other things to note Please keep in mind that our home is shoe-free, and it is requested that shoes be removed at the entrance. IMPORTANT: This ground-level space, like so many in Brooklyn, is actually just below our main home level. We have young kids. The walls are relatively thin. While no guests have ever had any real issues on this front, we want all our new guests to know in advance that when we are home, footsteps (or a thump if something drops!) will be heard from above. Especially by our young daughter and her friends. This is entirely normal for homes like ours in Brooklyn, and it is out of our control . . . it's part of living in the city :). We don't want any unexpected surprises for our guests nor any noise from above to be an issue, so WE MAKE THIS POINT CLEAR BEFORE YOU BOOK. We are being completely transparent here - if there is one thing we would say is "not ideal" about our unit, it's this. If other hosts say everything is perfect, (a) they're lying and (b) good luck! Again we aim for zero surprises. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions about this detail. IMPORTANT: Should you require one of the additional beds set up for your 2nd guest, we will request an additional $45 adjustment (for each additional bed) to cover the added costs of preparation, clean-up, and laundry.
