Nestled into Eidelweiss Village, our home becomes a retreat for any season. When we are not using it ourselves nor using it for artist retreats, we open it to you! Nearby lakes, hiking, skiing and quaint villages make it an ideal base for White Mountain adventures. We have set it up to be an perfect place for families, to come together and enjoy each other's company while taking advantage of all the area has to offer. Includes a well stocked kitchen, wifi, indoor games and outdoor supplies. Outdoors: -Corner lot - pluses- first to get plowed, and easy access, cons- can be a bit exposed. We will be planting some privacy trees soon! -wrap around deck with grill, seating, umbrella -fire pit with seating -grass to play -gravel driveway with stairs up to enter the main floor and stairs down to enter the basement. -Ski rack outside near the door as well as in the basement. First floor: -entryway/mudroom with ample hangers -laundry closet -living room with internet & Roku TV -open concept with dining area (seats 8) and kitchen -well stocked kitchen -full bathroom Second floor: -four bedrooms: two bedrooms with queen sized beds, two bedrooms with twin over full bunk beds - 1/2 bath (think water closet) Basement: (separate entrance from basement) -giant boulder (yes, this house was built onto a boulder) -ping pong table, TV, and play space The whole house is yours for your stay. The same code opens the outdoor basement door and the main entrance. I'd recommend a car with 4WD during the winter. There is room for 4 cars in the gravel driveway. There are many stairs - one flight into the house, a small flight down to the basement, and a flight of stairs to all the bedrooms. There is parking at the nearby points of interest including the local lakes. The space is yours and we are just a text away if you have any questions or need anything. We will provide a detailed guide to your stay and some emergency numbers. There is a security camera at the entrance, and it is a family neighborhood, so please respect quiet hours of 10pm-7am. Access to Eidelweiss Village amenities: -3 lakes, including Silver lake -boat launch -two kayaks for your use -parks, play structures, basketball courts Nearby Ski: -King Pine (12 min) -Cranmore (22 min) -Attitash (our favorite - 30 min) -Shawnee Peak (30 min) -Wildcat (48 min) Nearby Towns to Visit: -Conway (6 min) Favorite restaurants: Delaney's Banners Barley & Salt There is a gravel driveway with space for up to four cars. There is space to keep bikes or outdoor equipment. There is a shed where we keep our lake gear. Please let us know if you would like to borrow the kayaks. Whatever you use, you accept the risks. Please return all items back to the shed when you are done. Parking at the lake is strictly for residents, car stickers are mandatory. You can drop of your equipment and walk. -Bears: if suns out, bears are out. If doors are open and food smells are wafting, bears can and will wander in. Please close doors behind you and do not leave food or food scraps outside. -Septic system: like many mountain communities, our home is on a septic system. Please only flush toilet paper down the toilet. Use trash receptacles for everything else. -Paper products: we will supply a "starter set" of toilet paper and paper towels. If you finish what is there for you, we will leave nearby stores to get more. -Linens: each set of bed linens is $10 to launder and $15 to be changed. This is why we have a high cleaning fee. If you are willing to make your beds, launder the sheets before you leave, we can greatly reduce your cleaning fee, please let us know. Bath towels are also $10 to launder. If you can launder them yourself before leaving, or bring your own, we can again decrease the cleaning fee. There is laundry in the house. Please bring your own outdoor-use towels if you are going to enjoy the lakes or rivers nearby. -Trash: There is no trash pick up in the area. Our cleaners charge $15/bag. There is Madison Transfer Center where it is $5 to take the trash. Again, let us know your preference so we can adjust the cleaning fees. -Toddlers/babies: we have a high chair, a pack and play, a swing and toddler and baby toys at the house - including a small table with chairs. We also have a baby gate for the stairs. Please let us know if there will be babies/toddlers so we can leave those out. -Cleaning: we have a fabulous local cleaning company that takes care of our house. They do their best. Please let us know if anything is out of order. We will not be able to provide refunds for minor cleaning issues, but please let us know how we can do better. -Must be 25+ to rent. This is a family neighborhood. -Pets: pets must be pre-approved to join your vacation due to family allergies. Hypoallergenic or non-shedding dogs will be considered. They must always be with owners. No other animals. -No smoking on the premises. We have family and vacationers like yourselves with asthma and allergies. -No large events. Must respect quiet hours of 10PM-7AM. This is a family neighborhood and we enjoy it that way, we hope you do too!
