Cozy log cabin with indoor fireplace

Great getaway in a beautifully maintained and updated original settlers log cabin filled with books of poetry and art, sunroom with rivaling porch swings for the classic settlers pastime of porchswing-offs, full kitchen and clawfoot bathtub, bedroom with full-sized bed, fifty acres of woodlands to explore, and an open field for watching the skies. Great for the solo getaway or a romantic excursion. Pets are welcome - please make sure to let me know so that I can plan accordingly. Guest access The cabin is nestled in a valley and is accessed by 2.5 miles of dirt road. During normal weather, a standard two-wheel drive car can get in and out just fine, though it's a bumpy ride. If you have a lower-clearance vehicle, let me know and I'll send you pointers about navigating the last 0.25 mile stretch, which is the bumpiest. Other things to note The owner and host lives on the same property in a detached adjacent house. There is a resident cat and dog who live next door too. Locally roasted coffee and French press provided. While there is a television here, there is neither cable nor streaming connected to it, so you will be limited to our collection of Muppet DVDs and Stanley Kubrick VHSs (or any media you truck in with you). Additional entertainment: puzzles, games, poetry, a piano, and birds at the feeder out the window. Lastly, my cancellation policy is truly strict. Please do keep this in mind when booking.
