Our spacious yet cozy lake house, nestled in the woods, has a gorgeous view of the pond and is just a short walk to a pristine beach that straddles the Patuxent River and Chesapeake Bay. With four large bedrooms and four baths, the cabin comfortably sleeps 10 (or more), perfect for a long-weekend getaway or a week at the beach with the extended family. (And you don’t even cross the Bay Bridge!) The space The cabin has been designed to be family friendly. After a comfy night in their bunkbeds, your kids can entertain themselves at the foosball/air hockey/pool game table, settle into the bean bag or hammock with a good book, scout for foxes or deer in the back yard, or enjoy an early breakfast at the counter. If they don’t feel like walking to the beach, they can ride in the little red wagon. And the big pier is perfect for bird-, boat- and plane- watching (Patuxent Naval Base is right across the water). NOTE: The bunkbed room has a decorative opening to let in light from the skylights on the living room and to look down on the main floor. Please have a look at the pictures of the room to get an idea of what it looks like. Other things to note It is also perfect for a romantic getaway: snuggle into the couch for a movie on the big tv, whip up a gourmet dinner for two in the fully stocked kitchen (or order in from a local restaurant), experience the local wildlife from the big deck, your private balcony, or the pier, kayak around the pond or out to the Bay, or settle into the jacuzzi tub with a candle and a bottle of wine while gazing up through the skylight at the trees. (Also great for two couples, as the downstairs has a huge bedroom, its own full bath, and a private entrance to the back of the house.)
