Set in an 1869 building with exposed stone + brick and huge windows, it’s a true hotel alternative—comfortable, stylish, and easy to settle into. Walk to restaurants and coffee, local shops (including thrift/antiques), monuments, the Strand/theater & art center, and the riverfront/lake + bike path—plus Amtrak nearby for easy arrivals. Inside you’ll find an open ~600 sq ft living space with a large kitchen island (also a great remote-work setup), a fully stocked kitchen with cookware, blackout curtains, crisp white linens, and double-encased pillows. The bathroom features a modern neo-angle, all-glass shower. Guest access & parking: Self check-in via keypad. Paid downtown parking is nearby, and we can provide one free space close to the owner (subject to availability). Good to know: This is a renovated historic building with other tenants. Thanks to triple-pane windows, most guests find it pleasantly quiet for a downtown location, but as with any older building you may occasionally hear normal footsteps/sounds. Guest access Guest access / Getting around You’ll have the entire private 2BR loft to yourself, with keypad self check-in for easy arrivals. The loft is on the 2nd floor. Arriving by train? Plattsburgh’s Amtrak station is on Bridge Street—the same street as the loft—so it’s an easy walk/ride with luggage. Step outside and you’re in downtown Plattsburgh’s Historic District: walk to restaurants, coffee shops, the Strand/theater & art center, monuments, local boutiques (including thrift/antiques), and the riverfront + Lake Champlain. The marina and scenic bike/walking paths are close by for lake views and waterfront time. Parking: Paid downtown parking is nearby, and we can provide one free space close to the owner (subject to availability). Other things to note • This is a 2nd-floor loft in a renovated historic building. Triple-pane windows help a lot, but you may occasionally hear normal building sounds. • Laundry: full-service laundromat is about 2 blocks away. • Downtown Plattsburgh is full of local artisans, boutiques, and thrift/antique shops—including a favorite shop right below the loft. Day trips & outdoors: Enjoy Lake Champlain (marina, boating, beaches) and the Adirondacks for hiking, biking, climbing, and skiing—including iconic peaks like the ADK 46ers and Saranac 6ers. Vermont is an easy day trip—take the ferry and explore scenic roads and bike routes through both the NY + VT sides of the lake (including a bike-only ferry option in VT). For a beautiful loop bike ride or drive, guests can circle Lake Champlain using the bridges to the north (Rouses Point) or to the south (Crown Point). You’re also within reach of Lake Placid + Whiteface (Olympic sites) and Montréal, Québec—host of the 1976 Summer Olympics—for food, museums, and hockey.
