The Mountain Retreat is designed for families, groups, or a relaxed couple’s getaway. The main floor welcomes you with a warm, open living space featuring vaulted wood beam ceilings, a classic wood-burning fireplace, and oversized seating perfect for gathering after a day outdoors. Large windows and direct access to the spacious deck bring in natural light and views of the surrounding pines and nearby slopes. The updated dine-in kitchen features brand-new appliances and an open layout, making it easy to cook, dine, and spend time together. Also on this level are a comfortable bedroom, a fully renovated bathroom, and a washer and dryer for convenience. Downstairs, the lower level stays naturally cool in the summer and offers a perfect hangout space for kids and groups. It includes a second bedroom with a king bed, a bunk area with additional sleeping space, a full bathroom, and a dedicated game room with pool and darts. Guest access Parking notes: Please note that the parking is located on a skinny narrow gravel pullout out on the main street (Lucerne) in front of the house. The gravel parking sits between two steep hills. AWD/4WD is recommended in the winter months. The maximum parking allowance is 2 cars. Other things to note No parties Allowed. Noise restrictions and quite hours: - Quite hours start at 10:00pm and go until 7:00am. No music is permitted outside at any time during quite hours. - Hot tub use is not permitted during quiet hours after 10:00pm. The noise and hot tub restrictions are a serious issues for the city of Big Bear right now and they will charge a $500 fee for the first violation and a $1,500 fee for the second violation. Any noise or hot tub violations will be at the guests’ cost. Please note that guests are subject to eviction without refund if these restrictions are violated. Before you check-out you will need to: 1. Bag all garbage and pack it in your car to be dumped at one of the local Big Bear Disposal Drop-off sites. This is a common practice in Big Bear. a.
