Despite the peaceful seclusion, the home boasts fiber internet, TV's in every room (including the main deck), Satellite cable, and more! Please note that pets are not allowed due to severe allergies. This 2+ acre sanctuary hidden in the pines and on the banks of the famous fightingtown waters is off the beaten path, and yet only 2 miles to horseback riding, 1.5 miles to the famous Mercier Orchards, and 4 miles beyond to downtown Blue Ridge. This level of peace and tranquillity is reached by a private gravel road and dead ends at our property. Many homes in Blue Ridge are stacked up against the other, but here you have forest surrounding and is only shared with the 2 other homes and a large quantity of dear, wild turkeys, hawks, beaver, and more! If you really want to get away from it all and enjoy a true mountain experience, you’ve found the right place. Only a select few know of this location and those that do, consider it to be one of the best kept secrets in Blue Ridge. We will offer this home on a very limited basis to ensure that you have the absolute best experience, and to protect the natural surroundings. 4WD is not a must with the exception of winter storms. Pets are not accepted due to severe allergies. Other things to note Every time we come up to the cabin we bring a 5 gallon jug so that we can return home with the amazing water from our spring fed well! We know you'll enjoy it as much as we do. My wife used to call me an Evian snob and I guess I was, but now I’ll drive hours to bring home the crystal waters that only a remote location like this can provide. The well is powered by electric and there is not a backup generator. In all our years of ownership we have only lost water for 5 hours (biggest storm of this year), but that is also a part of a true mountain experience. Please also keep in mind that while we have fiber wifi, it can be disrupted due to storms or other forms of impact which are also a part of the mountain experience.
