The Farmhouse Suite at Open Heart Inn

Welcome to your cozy retreat! The farmhouse suite features a loft bedroom with a queen bed, a full kitchen, cozy living room with a wood stove, access to our gorgeous back deck, gazebo, and more. This unique property was originally built in 1840, and comes with 10 acres of farmland to explore. Come get away from it all! Minutes from the Appalachian Trail, Devil's Backbone, and much more, we are ideally located to explore the trails, breweries, and wineries of scenic Nelson County. The space The cozy loft bedroom is full of character! Featuring a queen bed and mini crib, the bedroom also offers gorgeous views of our property and gets tons of natural light. The room has a ceiling fan and is heated/cooled with central air. The loft bedroom is directly above the kitchen- just wander downstairs and make yourself breakfast! Off the kitchen is your full bathroom with shower/tub and oversized vanity. The cozy living room features a large roku TV, comfy sectional sofa, wood stove, and plenty of toys for entertaining little ones. We’re kid and baby friendly (high chair and pack n play are available). The charming country kitchen features reclaimed barn wood cabinets, dishwasher, microwave, oven, large fridge, and coffee maker. We provide coffee, creamer, sugar, and filters (we understand the importance of a good cup of coffee in the morning). Guest access You will have the entire suite to yourself- the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and living room as well. Feel free to roam our 10 acres or kick it on the back deck. If our house keeper needs to turn over another room/suite we may ask if she could use the laundry room during your stay. Other things to note Please note that as the farmhouse is an older property built in 1840 and located in the mountains, we do have the occasional bug friends inside the house but we try very hard to keep them outside. Also this is a very rural area- many cell providers do not have service at our house and our wifi signal is not as fast as you may be used to. This is a guest suite- your suite is entirely private, but other guests may be staying on the property (in a separate guest suite with a separate entrance) when you arrive.
