Artist's apartment, perfect for those who enjoy the wild and unusual! (Maybe not so much for the sweet but straight-laced grandparents?) The art is "out there," but the atmosphere is cozy. Also ideal for the cyclist needing a shower and a comfy bed near the trail head. Hitch your bike out back, park it inside, or curl up to it in the queen-sized bed (no judgement). A block or two from Main St, cafe, bakery, music, and much more. This colorful little apartment is ready to make you feel at home. The space Free parking in back, metered parking in front which is free at night and on the weekends. Front entrance has only one small step down. Kitchen has one small step up. There is baseboard heat if you get cool and ceiling fans if you get warm. Roku television in the living room. Wi-Fi, of course. There's a coin operated laundry room. The bathroom has certain toiletries, soaps, etc. if you didn't bring your own. And, some refreshments, snacks, drinks, the basics for cooking, and a respectable assortment of seasonings are always here. There is also a small wine rack stocked with affordable but drinkable varieties, totally removable before your arrival, upon request. Overall, the vibe should feel like housesitting for an eccentric, creative friend who wants you to enjoy the place. Guest access You will have access to the entire apartment although the storage closet is likely pretty full of art and art supplies. The more startling pieces are often kept in there, the ones that can be a little too spooky after dark. Other things to note This tends to be a very nice part of town and the street out front is well lit. But, if you were to have any concerns that aren't quite 911 but still need attention, the Frostburg City Police Department is just across the street and one door down. A few other points regarding wellness, security, and safety: - There is a fire extinguishers in the kitchen. - There is a flashlight in the kitchen drawer to the right of the stove. - There is a basic first aid kit under the bathroom sink. - There is an Urgent Care on the east end of town, as well as a couple of pharmacies. -There is a smoke alarm near the stove and it's a loud one. If you are cooking and it goes off but there's no actual emergency, my trick is to fan it with a baking sheet or with the storage closet door to get it to stop quickly. If it's really smoky (watching TV and forgot about the cookies) I'd open the outside doors for a few minutes, too.
