The Greenhouse is a tiny (~280 sq. ft) one level cottage in the countryside with a king size bed, usb table lamps, full bathroom, dining table, ac/heat, sofa, kitchenette (no oven but there is a countertop cooktop for light cooking), fire pit and fast wifi. There is a step down from the front door to enter the cottage. This cottage is pet friendly and can accommodate up to 2 small dogs under 30lbs each or one dog up to 50 lbs. If bringing your pup, they must be added to the reservation. There is a $40 pet fee per stay. Cats are not permitted. The cottage is on a 25 acre historic farm that is being restored to a working farm. We have Kune Kune pigs, cows, and several chickens. You will hear pigs snorting, cows mooing, chickens singing and our roosters crowing. :) The farm is a beautiful place to walk around! The wifi speed (we are on comcast) is fast and great for a work from home retreat! We are located near several wedding venues: Sylvanside Farm: .3 mi (3 min.) Shadow Creek: 5 mi (9 min.) There is a general store that is just 5 minutes away. It is a 2 minute drive to Sylvanside Wedding Venue and 5 minutes from Blooming Hill Lavender Farm. It is also conveniently located to several wineries, breweries and hiking trails. As soon as you enter the farm, you will see a designated parking area to the left that says “Greenhouse Parking.” Park at the first gravel parking lot to your left and walk the stone path up to the Greenhouse. The property is in rural Purcellville and is off a gravel road. It may seem like you’re in the middle of no where when driving out, but it’s just 10 minutes away from town! The cottage is located on a historic farm that is slowly being restored back to a working farm. We welcome guests to explore the property and enjoy some time by the creek. We do ask that guest do not enter any buildings as this property is currently undergoing renovation. There is a stone house from 1760 as well as a spring house that we ask guests not to enter as it is currently not up to safety standards. There is another one bedroom cottage on the property called the Perch. The cottages are nicely spaced apart and have their own private driveway, patio and fire pit.
