This early 1900 historic beauty was restored and created with travelers in mind to enjoy a pristine rental while experiencing the Keweenaw to the fullest w/ fam/friends. We have worked hard to keep the historic beauty while renovating with modern/rustic touches. This completely and thoughtfully renovated, early 1900's, ~1,200 sq. ft. home is central to the entire town of Houghton! Take your first step into this beautifully restored home and you are greeted with brand new timeless and classic finishes, restored 100 + year old shiplap that surround the kitchen, dining room, 2nd floor and most of the ceilings, and a unique, historical home full of vibrant colors and patterns. The mudroom, kitchen & dining, a full bath, and 1 bedroom make up the first floor. A fully stocked kitchen allows you to do all your cooking "at home" if you would like. A brand new weber BBQ on the front porch is great for the beautiful Keweenaw summers. A washer and dryer make things simple for longer stays. We have put a lot of thought and effort into making sure you have everything you need for your stay, long or short. The details matter. The second floor gives off the log cabin vibe with it's entirety covered in restored original ship lap and round cedar trusses. The master king bedroom and 2nd living room/open bedroom with two twin beds are spacious and conclude the 2nd floor. We strive to provide you with a unique, vibrant, comfortable, relaxing, and 5 star stay. We have a pretty large driveway that can accommodate up to 4 vehicles, if you have questions about space please contact me. We like to give guests their space and privacy, but we are available if needed. We live in Houghton and are easy to contact via Airbnb messaging or cell phone Our neighborhood is situated centrally in Houghton allowing you to have access to just about anywhere in an easy 5 min drive or walk/bike. We live about a 2 min walk from a gas station for any last minute items. Downtown houghton, Michigan Tech University, and world class trail access in all less than 1 mile from our home! Walk, run, or bike right from the house! The house has great access to all other businesses and grocery stores in the Houghton area. Most people use cars to get around, but if you are into biking and walking, you can get most places safely by doing so.
